ROTR is back!
After almost a year of inactivity we are finally back in action and have a new home.
We have not been resting on our laurels all this time - in fact we've been working hard to deliver you a completly new and, in our eyes, better mod than you have seen previously.
In our new ROTR we have started almost again from scratch and we are currently in the process of reskinning and remaking all old models to a new, improved standard.
Another plan we have is to scrap and replace the old Zero Hour Generals with ALL NEW ones. The new Generals selection system will work as follows:
First you select your side: Russia, USA, China or GLA. Then once you are in game you will be prompted as to which general you wish to play, who you will then select at the Command Center. :)
here will be 3 Generals per faction, making for a total of 12 playable Generals - each with his own unique strengths and weaknesses. We have decided to base ROTR solely around these Generals so there will be no "vanilla" or parent factions in the traditional sense.
The Generals for each side are as follows:
USA
-Airforce
-Special Forces
-Tank
China
-Red Army
-Special Weapons
-Secret Police
GLA
-Bio Command
-Terror Cell
-Warlord
Russia
-Rapid Deployment
-Advanced Weapons
-Tactical Ballistics
More detailed information regarding these new Generals will be revealed later.
Now on to the stuff people love most.... Unit renders!
To start things off, we are celebrating the good news by taking the wraps off of four Russian units. First up is Sentinel heavy tank.
Secondly we have the new primary/basic artillery peice for the Russian Generals, the MSTA-S.
Next up, the Kodiak Main Battle Tank.
The Kodiak Battle tank is Russia's workhorse for tank versus tank confrontations. These tanks are a hybrid design of many Russian tanks. It also boasts many new additions including updated navigational and movement equipment, smoke grenade launchers and an advanced turret armed with both a cannon for armoured targets, and a machinegun to repel a small amount of infantry.
And finally, the Tunguska.
The Tunguska has been in active duty since the 1980s and has long been updated and refurbished. With this new conflict, the Tunguska has been upgraded to shoot down more helicopters and aircraft than any other Anti-Air platform vehicle in the battlefield. The Tunguska uses both auto-cannons and missile pods to take out any aerial threat, but is not as effective on ground targets.
That's all we have for you on this update, stay tuned for more ROTR updates ;)
Woohoo!!!!!!! We love those renders!!
Go hunter!
