Here is the latest in our new weekly Overgrowth alpha format! David himself took some time to illustrate the traditional changelog in video form.

Don't forget that you can help support us, try out our weekly alphas (such as the one in the video), and chat with other preorderers in the Secret Preorder Forum by preordering Overgrowth.

Be sure to watch it in HD!

The features highlighted in the above video are as follows (among some extra ones thrown in for good measure):

- Added scriptable HUD images
- Added versus mode HUD with scripted sound and animation
- Improved versus camera tilt
- Improved support for more than one controller
- Controller settings live update
- Fixed leg stretching when characters collide
- Added some 'threat' poses when holding attack key
- Testing out 'multiple lives' damage model
- Fixed problem with non-square compressed textures
- Fixed bug when level resets while one character is standing on another
- Characters look at defeated enemies

Thanks as always for all the support! See you guys in IRC and the forums.

Also, feel free to support us by preordering Overgrowth!

Haha, that was a fun little update, the side view combat is a great idea that could be expanded upon in a big way, however perhaps make it a little more difficult to die :P

Also, have fun at GDC guys, hopefully your combat demo gains plenty of attention, i'm sure it will :D

Loved the last part too, it reminded me a little of Serious Sam actually :P

1:35 Epic Bunny Moment!! x3

I feel weird see a hud in this game, but the style is very cool... Mmm, I was wondered if the team will implement a radar like Lugaru.

That's brilliant! You've done so much work up to this point that all you needed to add was a HUD to the game and it's ready to play in that mode! Also, as a fan of Mario and Luigi: Bowser's inside story, I think the animation ques are a great touch.

I'm really into this fighting system. It's like samurai fighting, if you touch the other person, you win. That allows for fast paced combat and you need to master your defensive skills as much as your offensive.

I wish you guys are on Steam already.

Also with Valve working on the console, you guys plan on putting this game on it?
