This week David has been visiting San Francisco to look for apartments, so John took the liberty of showing off the new changes in this alpha.

"fail, fail, fail... in position". i lol'd ;D
you guys are doing a really great job! :)
Great guys, this is awsome
The video nice as always, all well and good, still, hopefully, you'll elaborate on cultural details, so these cities will avoid to be grey stone/rock block areas with e.g. no paintings on them, no reliefs, no sculptures, no soul... so crude.
The city is still very much a work in progress. They released it this week since it was a lighter development week. I would expect a lot more detail and culture added to the level in the coming weeks.
I actually can see a lot of potential already in it ... it's a great start ...
Just add some really colorful cloth object of lots of different colors and volia! flamboyant cat city ...
The white stone is a perfect choice for the cats because its the brightest neutral color there is ...
If you think about the construction of the buildings, they're probably made out of the same materials and made the same way which justifies the same basic look and color for all the buildings.
However, considering that cats are flamboyant in this universe, they would naturally add stuff to their houses, shops, etc to make it stand out ...
Hence the basic buildings should all look the same for each race, however I imagine each race would have their own construction style (adobe style, marble stone, wood huts, whatever) which would be as simple as changing the material, and maybe the layout of the buildings :P ...
Damn, I rant about mapping too much >_>
Sounds about right to me sir. Rant on...
nice town, just missing the cats ;)
and stuff feillyne above me said would be great too
Great video.
One thing tough, you guys really need to release an auto-patcher for the alpha.
Seconded :D Make it update automatically on launch, like WoW or something else that auto-updates...
They don't want it to patch over the old versions because there are modders out there that may rely on the old versions or need to adapt their maps to newer versions ...
auto patching is very modder unfriendly ...
edit: or at least im guessing that's why
Amazing technology. Great work guys!
This game looks nice and fun but it's sad that it's so expensive. =(
It is? It's only $20... A lot cheaper than most games!
EDIT: Supposed to be a reply to Juffe...
I... believe in you. I shall buy this game, and i shall enjoy it. Thou shalt also enjoy it.
I was expecting a city of giant scratched up couchs.
i want to see a whale city ))
I cant wait for this game.
One question, will the engine be available for modders? If not, will it be available for purcahse/rent? :3
I would really love to work with this engine and make a Redwall mod.
There just arent any redwall games out there! :(
Looks good. I like the way that the movement in the game is shaping up.
Stunning i will definetly buy this when it is on sale.
