As you may or may not know, Red Alert 3 Paradox's first release is slated for July 4, 2010, and we're really quite close to achieving that goal. Unfortunately we've been hit by a double whammy of unfortunate circumstance, and in short we're looking for a little help from the community to help us achieve our deadline. Basically, we're down to the last few units needing to be finishing; we're just animating infantry and finishing up coding some units. Unfortunately our lead coder, Kerensky287, recently had to leave the project, so we need some temporary help until we figure out how to get through this.
We're not looking for full-time team members, we're just on the hunt for some temporary work. Coding a unit or two, getting some animation done on an infantry unit, or making some collaspe models or damage textures. Mappers would also be a great help. Anyone helping us out such will have access to builds as we make them to help us with the testing process and their name in the credits of the finished work. If you are personally unable to help, but know people who might or post on a different community, forwarding/posting this there would be a great help to us.
If you don't have any experience, don't worry! We'll give you a crash course in the required skill.

I´m sorry about Kerensky. And I would like to help, but I don´t have time even to deal with my real life works.
I might be able to help I don't know a whole lot about coding and stuff and I do have school, but that's winding down and I'd love to do anything I can to see Paradox through.
So if you can get me the tools and the knowledge I can hopefully help you guys out :)

If this mods fate is to eventually die before total completion, then I hope it doesn't happen before the second modpack release.
Dudes, he just means that one way or another this project will eventually end; completion or failure was never mentioned. I really don't want to have to work on this my whole life, then pass on leadership to my children, who will pass it to their children, and so on and so forth.
Unless of course we get hired by EALA to revive the C&C series. Or our children. Or their children.

Id be more then happy to attempt to find time to map for you guys. I know a fair deal of coding in mapping, and I can make decent enough maps. (after a few previous versions of course)

How much computer programming do we need to know before hand for this crash course?
And:
What software would I have to download?
None if you are suffiently enthusiastic, and the RA3 SDK.
Plus, it's all in XML, which isn't hard to understand AT ALL (well, compared to most programming languages... But still), and all you need in order to edit xml files is Notepad. So you're pretty much prepared already. All you need is the SDK: Moddb.com

The only thing you need for coding is the mod SDK and sufficient motivation. I learnt is rather easily, and with almost no help at all.
