great mod, all the servers ping as "N/A" tho =(
this makes me wish i had UT2k4
its too bad unreal mods never fair to well community wise. there have been some with great production values.
First time player today. I enjoyed it. It was really fun. I got a bunch of free stuff from my cousin like toilet paper...and UT2004 so i gave it a try LOL.
The mod is a bit like CS but much funner and a diffrent pace. Love the modern weaponary, and if your a tactical gamer Frag Ops is a good game for a break from realism.
This is looking great. :) I remember the old beta from the original Make Something Unreal, back when UT2k3 was new.
An excerpt from my recent e-mail exchange with an FO promotor (my words follow):
"Whether you meant 'playing with the euros' or 'you euros', this bias isn't the first that I've encountered with my recent experiences on/with Frag Ops. I was expecting a more mature (or at least self-restrained) crowd given the FO's theme, but that was my mistake.
Having spent the evening investigating the Frag Ops revival, I now understand that the promotion of v2.2 was surely monetarily motivated. The Frag Ops folks dusted off their old project just for a shot at that Gameflood prize. I should've known better, and the trust I briefly had in recommending site macologist.com is since gone.
From what I saw, it looks like they/you/FO lost the contest. And as I experienced online, the FO developers/community is now looking for some fresh meat to beat on as a consolation for the defeat.
Worse still for all of us, it's a sorry state for the personal computer game industry at this point if a game-oriented website has to dangle $25k to drum-up activity for old titles since no one out there is willing to publish anything new of value. Looks like the consoles and set-top boxes are the future...but not for me. I'll stick with more cerebral titles like Laminar Research's X-Plane until they pry my cold dead fingers off my keyboard (the last joystick I owned was attached to my Amiga 2000).
I appreciate your efforts, but I'm still not interested in playing FO."
Synopsis: Nothing has changed. All the good games have been played. Internet Fatigue is upon us. I miss Bungie.
