I would say possibly BFV would be the best choise, simply do to the ease of conversion, But RO does have some nice features like artillery and realistic play, but what ever interests you most ill help out as much as i can

sounds good i dont really see the point in sticking with BF42 at this point, using an open source would mean less creative limitations right?

Don't know, im out of it since im over here cause we still have exams in till june, but classes have finished, but im not really sure how it works with university. I really should since I use to live in ann arbour lol.
