Ladies and gentlemen… boys and girls…
This is it.
The big one.
After four and a half long years of comprehensive development, we’re proud (and incredibly excited) to announce that CoH: Modern Combat will officially be released to the public on the 13th of march 2012! You only need to be patient for a few more days!
If you’re as pumped as we are though, feel free to check out our new pre-release trailer in the meantime!
Hopefully the video will help to shed some light upon Modern Combat’s backstory, narrating the series of events that precede the conflict you’ll be taking part in.
We also wanted to take the opportunity to credit all of the amazing people behind this immense project, so be sure to watch the entire thing (we may or may not have added a complimentary map preview to keep you entertained)…
DISCLAIMER: This is a work of fiction, designed, developed and produced by a multicultural team of varying religious and political beliefs. Any intended resemblance to or reference to actual events, locales or persons is for the express purpose of literary and artistic authenticity and the establishment of said fictional premise.
Now, this is obviously a HUGE milestone for our mod, and we’re all waiting with bated breath to see just how it will be received by the CoH community. However, we also want to stress the fact that this is just another step in our continuing developmental process. A massive step, but a step nonetheless. Our overarching goal has always been and will always be to create a balanced and polished mod, and we’ll continue to work hard post-release in order to achieve as flawless a product as possible.
As of now, Modern Combat has only been developed and tested by a relatively small number of people, and plenty of bugs and balance issues will no doubt have slipped through the cracks due to the limited manpower at our disposal.
After release, we’ll be counting on players to report these problems so that we can address them. To report bugs or provide balance feedback, please use our forums, where we can assess information and assign tasks to relevant developers in an efficient and orderly way.
Enough of that for now though… it’s time to prepare yourself for the main event next weekend!
