Its taken some time, but the wait is finally over. That's right! Bailter Ray v2.0 has finally arrived. Packed with a shocking amount of new content!

Posted by on

We have been hard at work this semester, trying to take Bailter Ray above and beyond what we accomplished in the first semester. The results? Well check them out for yourselves. We have done a huge overhaul on almost everything from the first semester. It looks better, plays better, simply it is better!

Some things to expect:

  • Completely new level, with new art assets. A lot more thought went into the design of the level than the original. Better and more interesting challenges to overcome.
  • Reworked mouse and keyboard controls, improved aiming and turning.
  • Complete rework of the game pad support, just works so much better than before. Now just as easy to use a controller as mouse and keyboard.
  • Added a introductory tutorial with voice overs.
  • New objectives and reward system. Unlock the bonus level by finding all the collectibles.
  • Reworked bot AI, much more responsive and interesting then before.
  • 2 difficulty settings, easy and hard.
  • Power ups! health, lives, faster firing, and quicker dodge.
  • Much much more!

We are very happy with how Bailter Ray is progressing. Download and play the game - Let us know what you think!

Is this UDK build or is it still an Unreal 3 mod?

We haven't converted to UDK sorry, having lots of issues so I can't give you a ETA either :(

We did spend a couple of days working on it, but there is a certain number of dependencies on UT3 which are causing issues.
