A while ago I made a bunch of character arms for people to use instead of the default novice arms.

Right now I am expanding the varieties to include one version for each faction.

No, these are not dynamic like Arms_match_suit_mod, that would mean multiplying each weapon by 4-5 or more. Instead you will have to pick one and stick with it.

I think this would work well as a post-installation addon

Yes. I do vote in favor of this, as an optional addon to the mod. How will this feature be installed? Drag and drop files into appropriate gamedata folder after choosing a faction?
Considering what you posted about the PP-2000 requiring 8 more viewmodels per weapon, I think this could take a lot of space if included in the game by default.

It's sort of like the first of those, I think I should re-phase this, if you plan on starting as a new faction, then there will be an optional folder in the mod folder which you can use to copy and overwrite the default arm textures. Of course this is done before starting a new game.

The question is really now more, should the optional addon be included in the release of 1.07 itself?

Depends on how far back it will push the release of 1.07 if it's planned on being included.

I wouldn't worry about that, since this aspect is already finished. I'm considering other optional configs as well, like different starting weapons, anoms being visible, stuff like that.
