Could you guys do a tutorial on creating a new faction? I've come close a few times, but never truly done it right...

Quick question: I followed the instructions on modifying the planets (I adjusted their coordinates to change their locations) and put the modified Planets file in the XML Folder of the "OurMod" folder, but when I go to play the game, the planets are in the same default location. Did I miss something?

hmmm. Maybe:
1.XML folder, should be in "OurMod/Data/XML"
2.What Planet did You edit or maybe You created new Planet?
3.If You created new Planet, You must add this to proper GC Map to see it in game.

1. It's in the XML folder, from "Mods/OurMod/Data/XML"
2. I edited the 'Galactic_Position' in all planets. I changed the X and Y coordinates to align more with the planets' positions in The Essential Atlas.
3. I did not create a new planet.

I just sent you a PM with the code snippet. The only thing I modified was the coordinates for the Galactic Position. The only Bat files were for StevesEwokMod and another mod I had installed, so I've been launching from the swfoc.exe file and the launcher.

Your code looks good. You are wrong lauching it:
1.Create Text File, and write to it : swfoc MODPATH=Mods\OurMod
where OurMod is Your mod name.
2.SAVE it as OurMod.bat - this is important it must be bat file.Save it where swfoc.exe is.
3.Launch from it.

Hey YVaW team I hate to bother you guys, but what would you suggest for those of us who are missing the files to run the map maker? Like binkw32.dll, perceptionfunctiong.dll, ,ss32.dll?
