The Xenoforce Reborn mod takes the classic Xenoforce mod from CNC Generals and re-invisions it on the CNC3 engine with new units and new designs. The new armies that are currently scheduled to be in the mod are the Earth Federation, ZEON, the Invid, and the Earth Robotech Defense Force. We also have heavily modified the original CNC3 armies, giving the GDI, NOD, and Scrin a much more dynamic gameplay experience. This mod is NOT FOR PROFIT and NON-commercial based.
The new version of the Scrin Defense system that is currently in place was just a placeholder until I could get this set up. Now when you build a Nerve Center you gain the ability to deploy/build the Scrin Storm Column. While this may seem like "Gee, thats nice... so what are we looking at here?" the Scrin Storm Column actually does more than it used to. It will summon whatever defensive structure that it wants to help support/defend the base! The best part is when these things are summoned in they do quite a bit of damage to the location (normally the defense likes to summon these things on enemy units for maximum damage) and then stick around for awhile until not needed.
Oh and did I mention that one of the new "Scrin Gifts" that you can now pick gives this same ability to the Capitol Ships? Yea... it's nice. :)

The scrin storm column is summoning in defenses as the GDI APC's advance, giving you 2 levels of defense. If the units get past the first level then the Storm Column is still there to deal with whatever is left.
The Storm Column can summon in Buzzer Hives, Plasma Cannons, Photon Cannons, and Lightning Spikes to help defend a base.
Is it random? Or does it summon the right tower for the right job?
Um, Hell I dont usually care what is or is not OP but damn...
I'm working on doing my best to make it pick the right tool for the job. At the moment it's semi-random but as soon as I can get a filter put onto the weapons to be able to use the buzzer only against infantry, anti-air only vrs air units (that one is easy), and lightning spikes/photon cannons against vehicles it will be much smoother in use.
Maybe you can tag each unit with a code to signal the Storm Collumn to spawn the right tower or the job when it targets the enemy?
Well, it depends on any units and structures equips any kind of weapon they could have, so it doesn't matter whether it was balanced or not.
