The Xenoforce Reborn mod takes the classic Xenoforce mod from CNC Generals and re-invisions it on the CNC3 engine with new units and new designs. The new armies that are currently scheduled to be in the mod are the Earth Federation, ZEON, the Invid, and the Earth Robotech Defense Force. We also have heavily modified the original CNC3 armies, giving the GDI, NOD, and Scrin a much more dynamic gameplay experience. This mod is NOT FOR PROFIT and NON-commercial based.

How strong are they offensive and defensive wise? I wouldn't want this to be an alternative to those cheap *** land mine drops we used to have.

Lol no where near that. Timer starts at 4 min and those land mines were spamable. This not so much.

Are those things invisible? lolz, a suicide unit to mess with can be fun, though I wonder on their HP, so a lucky shot from something doesnt chain react them all at same time XD

Not invisible, you can see them and blow them up.

In other words, you'd hafta basically place the offensive drones near the enemy structures to weaken them for your forces to rip apart, correct?

Not really. you drop these in like artillery but unlike artillery which hits or misses and that's it these will then after hitting the ground the shells then seek out new targets. it works best if just dropped in to cause havoc on the enemy.

But they are powerful enough early to mid game to take out power plants or war factories.

Description

Just showing a pic of the first level of NOD's offensive power, the Offensive Drone System. It works much like you would expect off-screen artillery works, dropping shells from space onto a target much like GDI's Orbital Bombardment power works. However what NOD is dropping in isn't shells but Offensive Drones. At lvl 1 you get 8 of these drones which after hitting the ground they seek out and attack the closest enemy near them, exploding on contact.

These drones are selectable so if the player wish's to direct the bombs they can select them and tell them where to attack. If they have not hit a target after 30 seconds they self detonate.

I am using just the normal drone with a beacon glow effect on it temporarily until Doug and I can come up with a better drone design to use for this.

Each lvl of the ODS attack will drop in additional drones that do different things. Lvl 1 is straight forward, but things will get more interesting as the power lvls up. :)
