The Xenoforce Reborn mod takes the classic Xenoforce mod from CNC Generals and re-invisions it on the CNC3 engine with new units and new designs. The new armies that are currently scheduled to be in the mod are the Earth Federation, ZEON, the Invid, and the Earth Robotech Defense Force. We also have heavily modified the original CNC3 armies, giving the GDI, NOD, and Scrin a much more dynamic gameplay experience. This mod is NOT FOR PROFIT and NON-commercial based.

Right now we're working on finishing up NOD and GDI as well as re-examining Scrin/UC/AW for some balancing issues. The existing forces are getting minor balancing tweaks, some weapons are being re-defined like the way flame and sonic weapons work, and some powers are getting shuffled around/added.

When it comes to GDI we have a few ideas that I don't want to share right yet with them, but keep in mind that any ideas that you guys come up with need to fall in with our story for them. Are there things that need to be added that simply arn't there? What changes should be made? Here is your chance to tell us what you think about the new GDI.

GDI is a story of success and failure. Their origins start with the United Nations forming a task force that would have no boundaries, a force that could go where ever they needed to to stop terrorism on a global scale. After the first Tiberium War and their massive success defeating the terrorist organization NOD they gained a massive amount of support and power. Soon after they became the de-facto planetary government force as no single country could stand up to them and withdraw support without facing global consequences.

However after the Firestorm Crisis GDI was critically wounded. That single instance it was proven that a single military force in control of everything could lead to dramatic problems if that force subsequently failed which if not for NOD they would have and humanity would have been lost. It was shortly after this point that many different countries decided that National Sovereignty and freedom was worth more than the illusion of safety in numbers. Many GDI Generals who controled parts of the United States and Canada from California up to Alaska, as well as parts of South America and South Africa, broke away and formed the Earth Federation. In the Philippines a few islands rich in materials broke away and formed ORB. And still GDI continued to lose support. Organizations and conglomerates consisting of rich and powerful leaders of industry started working on developing alternative solutions to the worlds problems. Some started making massive colonies in space to escape to once things got too bad on earth. Others started developing their own solutions to the Tiberium problems.

And yet GDI has managed to survive. There are still large areas of the world that GDI holds the most power and continues to push back trying to reclaim what they let slip through their fingers. With all of the support leaving them they have had to fall back to more conventional forms of technology. Where others have gone to the expensive and multipurpose mobile suits GDI has reinforced their strongest tanks with types of technology that only they are working with like Rail Cannon Tech and Sonic Weapons. They push back and hope to regain their place as the worlds government and only super power. They did it once, and many in the GDI believe they can do it again.

I would know that we could add a Titan Tank Walker with jet-packs, and a Mammoth Tank walker with a transformation (Ground <> Air). Maybe a GDI Kodiak star-ship carrier, and a GDI Space Battleship. This must be why GDI fans must be their favorite unit. I made some model's that I still have back then, but the others are not finished.

I'm not sure that I could see the Titan Tank Walker with jet packs thing, to me that just seems too far out there. The Mammoth MK II walker with a transformation into an air ship sounds interesting. The other two items again don't make much since to me, GDI's never been that interested in space exploration and now in our story that they have even less resources to work with than before I'm not sure how you could argue that they can build these things.

Well Titan Tank walker with jets packs should able to use for flying on atmosphere and space. Which give the GDI military a more advantage on battle's. The other GDI ships known as the Kodiak and the GDSS Philadelphia were appeared back from the Tiberian Sun. The reason that GDI needs to build a new Space Battleship. Because the Main Ion Cannon were too reliable, but were having too expensive and it takes a waste of time to charging up. Instead,GDI space needs to create spacecraft, so they would able to help them dealing with EF, Zeon, and other star-ship. This would also deals with against Nods star-ship and conquering planets for the same thing as well.

The Titan Walker is a walker, it's not an air unit. And GDI no longer uses that tech because it's too expensive to maintain.
GDI simply does not have the resources to expand past what it has, it has lost a lot of funding and land to the different nations that have broken away from them. Some nations are now under control of the Earth Federation. Some have turned to NOD for protection in light of their new purpose and proven ability to be reliable when the chips are down to protect mankind. Still others have turned to private military forces or the Black Market for protection as they no longer trust GDI. GDI only controls like 5% of the blue zones left, along with about 65% of the yellow zones and they can't afford to make "space ships" to do battle in space when there isn't a war being fought in space. The war takes place on Earth for GDI (the only forces that actually do battle in space are the EF/Zeon/Scrin/Invid/RDF, and even then we're not exploring these kinds of battles/things in this mod) as their only space presence (the GDSS Philadelphia) was destroyed at the beginning of the Third War. At this point all they have are the Ion Cannons and a few orbital ships for dropping troops onto the Earth in space.

There is more conflicts other than staying on one plot, time, space, and dimensions to other earth worlds. Lot of stories comes from time and place, it's not just simple to have any factions loses all processions. Its about everything what stories comes from. And everything comes from the other side timeline on the other Earth as well.

How about this, the XR plot takes place after the events from the Third Tiberium War. In an alternative timeline, chaos continues. GDI finds a desperation way by searching for the factions that help themselves to suppress the Nod and Scrin. Even likely GDI need to build a dimension warp to travel on the other-side in search for the help. Nod do the same thing as GDI does, by hijacking the dimension warp and travel the other side for help. Scrin returns after the Third Tiberium War, and repeat the invasion on the "Tiberian" Earth. It goes off the destruction for the dimension collision with time conflicts.

Our story for the MOD is almost complete, we simply have a few last pieces to fit in (most notably the Robotech Defense Force, Southern Cross, and Robotech Expeditionary Force).

Keep in mind in our mod GDI is not the "good guys". Nor are they the "bad guys", no one actually would be considered good or bad, they are simply different political situations and opinions clashing on the global scale. Every 'Government' body will have their good points and they will have their bad 'black ops' situations that come to light.

Take NOD for example. NOD classically has been seen as an aggressor in the CNC universe, but after saving GDI at the end of the Firestorm Conflict (which is Westwoods own cannon) and the loss of Kane they have changed. They had to change and adapt otherwise they would have been destroyed and lost all that they worked for. So in the 25 years after the Firestorm Conflict NOD has changed from a fanatical militaristic cult into a full scale world religion. NOD's home city is based in Egypt much like the Vatican is with the Catholic Church. NOD has done many good things on the outside since denouncing the militaristic aspects of their previous existence including developing a temporary "cure" for Tiberium Radiation (More on this later/will be explained in the game), developing new ways to harvest Tiberium, and developing "Schools of Ideology" throughout the worlds most devastated yellow/red zones. The best and brightest of these schools get recruited into NODS personal "standing guard" of units. This has given NOD a lot of political and financial power in the world, and NOD is able to do economically what they could not do previously with violence. On the outside NOD is honestly just trying to help those who have been hurt the most by Tiberium survive and thrive.

What most of the world at large doesn't know is much of NOD's "standing army" units are using technology that is designed to look weaker than it actually is. Why does GDI stand for NOD to have the Scorpion tank? Because at face value the Scorpion tank is a joke compared to a Predator Tank. But if NOD pulls out it's laser technology and replaces its basic weapons with modular laser weapons suddenly this "joke" tank is no joke at all. And then you have the hidden military training camps hidden using NODS proprietary Stealth Technology allowing NOD to place vast hidden caches of weapons in the most unlikely and open places in the world and no one knows the wiser. NOD still wish's to shape mankinds evolution and controlling the world would make this task much easier for them, but unlike the last two attempts this next one will happen on a much slower time table. Their first two attempts were blitzkriegs that failed. This time they will make sure they have all of the bases covered and take no chances with destroying GDI (whom they still consider their greatest problem). Once GDI has been removed it should be a simple matter with them to move against the Earth Federation (the 2nd largest government body on the Earth) and sweep away those organizations who simply refuse to join them (Orb/Black Market Society, Blue Cosmos, Robotech Technology Institute). NOD cares little for what happens in space (Zeon) but they do keep watch on them for you never know when todays ally will turn into tomorrows enemy.

Keep in mind this is just a rough draft of our ideas on NOD and how they fit into the global stage. Nothing about the Scrin or Invid is mentinoed because when these forces appear it will be sudden and it will be catastrophic. No one will see them comming until the last minute and even then there will be little that can be done about it.
