Now then, to business.
We've been very busy once again this month, and seen some great new additions to the team.
Firstly, I was in for a surprise when Daniel "DannyCon" Conroy posted in our recruitment thread over at the WWI Source forums. A stunning modeller, Danny has totally remodelled our current Lewis Gun, we can promise the fully textured item in the next update.
Next up, We now have an exceptional animator, Christopher "Tank" Davis, who's going to be working his magic on all of our new weapons. He's been working on the Gewehr 98 recently, but due to technical faults, we can't share with you the full animation :( We hope to share these animations as soon as the issue is fixed. Until then, here's the WIP reload.
We've several new map in the works, including work from Info_player_start and Ashton. Currently, we are looking at a total revamp of our current textures (see jobs below)

-Enfield SMLE WIP
-Ypres 1917 WIP Shots
-Finished Huhle Shots
-New melee weapons to be included.
-The inclusion of the Jam Tin Grenade and also the Egg grenade, for the early war maps.
-Potential new rain effect for Passchendaele
Community Art competition:
In Flanders fields the poppies blow
Between the crosses, row on row,

We are holding a competition for concept artists, however, all relevant entries are welcome.
The task is as follows, we would like the community to produce a piece of artwork to depict the above poem. All art styles of art can be used, however, artwork must be tasteful and on topic. The work best portraying the pain and suffering of those who faught in the war shall be declared the winner (by developer vote)
Deadline: 5th Dec 2010
Winner shall have his/her artwork used as in game menu art and it shall also be used in the next WWI Source news update.
3D modeller, must be able to UV their own work - texturing is a bonus. Work will include props and various other items found on a battle field.
Texture artist, we need an environmental texture artist to bring our maps up to scratch.
Character animator, someone with experience in character animation.
