Modern Warfare Mod brings World in Conflict from the Cold War into the Modern Age. It also ups the ante on realism and authenticity in every role – Infantry, Armor, Support and Air, while trying our best to keep everything relatively balanced for fun and interesting gameplay.
This is the coolest thing i have ever seen!
What will the Russians have to "counter-balance" this?
The russians will keep their Kornet launchers, which has a much longer range but can't be used in buildings, can't attack air units and must be deployed with the ATGM team's offensive ability.
lol although it seems horribly unbalanced here me out
the russian kornet is the strongest ATGM there is in the game in terms or raw explosive power. the hellfire fired from apache choppers do not have as much explosive power as the kornet, but it hits top armor, where armor is weakest, thus its very effective.
now the kornet has aprox double the range of the javelin. thus it will begin to fire upon the enemy armor from the same range as mbt heat rounds range. thus an ATGM will be able to engage the enemy long before it fires back because we have removed the ability for the enemy to see the smoke trails. thus the kornet allows russian inf players to start taking pot shots at the enemy without giving away their position. thus the kornet must be setup wit the off ability and cannot fire from in buildings, although if in building, the russian at squad will fire rpgs
now the javelin, is very deadly, but the enemy will have to come very close to the usa at inf for the javelin to fire. thus javelins are able to be fired from in buildings, but most armor units will probably see the building being occupied and bring it down before advancing
The Kornet also has a much higher price IRL. That's why I think these shouldn't be in game.
IRL less than 150 were made, the Metis-M should be used instead.
Oh and please tell me you didn't use wikipedia for the research, the kornet article on it was extremely biased and I have cleaned it up...
It looked like there were two missiles fired, one initially in top-attack mode, and one in direct-attack mode that actually did something. Which will be used in the final version?
I love this
good job guys
