I know that in the unofficial movie hellsreach the main character chaplain is not the only survivor:),an interesting detail in the end of the cap.
could use another name like:The riding ghost or any other fresh feeling words,the only one does not give a single legendary feeling now nowdays and its not interesting at all.we could try to jump as many times as possible out the stereotypical way of codex lore
His whole craftworld was destroyed by chaos, he is the sole survivor and the only exarch of an aspect that he invented. Not sure what else to say...? That's the lore about him.

The character is lore friendly though.
He is a bit old but still part of the canon and the main Eldar lore.
