The UTTERMOST Dawn of War races(factions) combiner, vanilla races revamp, AND MORE. Search no further. Really. (Latest Unification version: 7.0.0 - (5/4/2024)
Im feeling some skub talking about "is Angel Infernus and Solemnus Agressor (and Wrath of Mjalnar) are a piece of Tech Heresy or not, if so how the heck they didn't get in words with the Mechanicus?
(Dark Angels seems answerable enough, why? because they are less depending to the Mechanicus for some technology since they presumed to have their own factory inside The Rock and just like Blood Angels known for keeping things for themselves, Example: Dark Angel's Land Speeder Vengeance and Blood Angel's Baal Predator)
However, three of those Land Raider have been Chapter Approved so yeah kinda canon to the 40k 1d4chan.org
It would make sense for the DA.
After all, they are known to hide and develop technology in secret from the AdMech. The Dark Talon is a prime example.
I am not sure as well why they gave the Angel Infernus to the BA instead to the Salamanders(main users of fire weapons and skilled artisans).Probably has to do with it being similar to the Baal Predator.
In any case, given these two are sanctioned by GW and part of Lexicanuum as well, for all terms and purposes are canon,at least in-universe. Wh40k.lexicanum.com
Can't say the same about Land Raider Hades however...
Probably did it just for the flame and melta aesthetic GW does for tabletop blood angels, so that they would sell more blood angels. There would be a lot less BA players if they didn't get those heavy flamers in infantry squads tbh. Plus if they wanted to copy the Baal predator they could just use the land raider crusader/redeemer. So yeah more to keep the aesthetic of "We are the only tabletop space marine faction (besides DW) with heavy flamers and inferno pistols in our tactical squads git gud."
It's creation was probably similar to the land raider crusader's where they needed something for a specific mission, then they created it for a specific job creating a super powerful but incredibly rare variant, as the crusader was only really recognized long after its initial use (exception being the crusader wasn't really rare, but fit a niche like the other three also do.
