The mod can't even install and it is buggy as hell.

I can't seem to get this working. I've attempted installing through both the mod manager and manually, used new and old variants of the Tyrnaids 0.53 mod, even started with a totally clean Soulstorm directory.
This doesn't appear to be working barring some special steps that have potentially been omitted.
4 of the Tyranid files are causing fatal errors

I dont use new tyranids i use 1 before.. i dont get so many errors like everyone else only the nuke bunker on the apocalypse map... i dont get any pink boxes either..
This release is big problematic. Needs more beta testing to fix the lingering issues. I miss the old team.

That normally happens if you havent deleted the old UA folder and install it from fresh.. always works for me.
Is this mod for the main game or expansion?

Failed to initialize game.... its the error message I get no matter what I try. Seems not to be working
I figured out why its not working, you need to install Tyranids v0.5b2 and not v0.5b3.

I added ability to download a fixed version of UA 1.89 to DoW Mod Manager!
* Delete all files and folders related to Ultimate Apocalypse, Tyranids and Chaos Daemons
* Start DoW Mod Manager
* Press "Download Mod..."
* Let it update ModList
* Download fixed UA and unpack it in your Soulstorm folder
It has been the only way that it has worked for me. Thank you very much for the help!

Lol Cylarne got dumped by another team
Man this really is hard to watch. I've been playing Ultimate Apocalypse for half the time I've been playing DoW and it's hard to play the base game without everything UA adds. But the absolute state of the mod, the now disbanded team and Cylarne really is just so disappointing, such a devastating era after 10 years of development all because pride and drama.
Edit/Update: I have managed to get the game somewhat running under this patch. By using older version fo both the Tyranid and Chaos Demons mods and totally removing them from the UA 1.89 zip I was able to launch the game. How ever a new unsolvable issue has appeared in that this update has completely and utterly broken textures for both scenery, buildings and units. Everything is a blurry untextured mess or are just pink place holder cubes. This update is entirely broken and moderators should probably remove it as it very clearly does not work and only serves to break the game.
Fatal AI error. Can confirm this release is totally broken. Don't know how someone wouldn't notice some of these issues either. Cylarne needs to get some sleep or something

Fatal AI error keeps repeating every single game. im only playing against AI so this patch is completely unplayable for me.

I went back to v1.88.72. v1.89 broke in the middle of my first game... fatal AI error.
So many sync issues and bug splats. RIP UA, you were good
please do the following;
Work a year or the months it will take to just remove all the bugs.
Always provide an installer.

K so I got this working...turns out the Tyranid mod updated so the version the installer links you to is the wrong one...you have to use 052b like some other people have said.
That being said...one thing I've noticed the Win button for Chaos Space Marines is ****** up. It killed all of my own units and buildings as well as the enemies...I don't think this is intended behaviour Chaos Marines should be able to tolerate a warp storm... and the game didn't count this as a win.
This mod does not make my *glorious* Oiled abs quiver. Shame on you.
Well, after being playing this game for years, it's a shame it had been rendered so poorly. With this said, I still congratulate Cylarne and the (now fired) team that made all of this possible. I don't care if it's buggy or messy, or anything. I play it because it's still a fine mod, and a funny one. I love that somehow this project hasn't been lost over that so called "pride". It has a lot of issues, yes, but that means that maybe in some time we migh have an even better mod. That's all I care about right now. Keep doing your stuff.
I think this patch needs a re-patch, because others are having issues with it.
THIS THING DOESNT WORK AT ALL. PLEASE HELP.
So, in the instructions for install, half of the things are missing. The UA mod wont work without Tyranids, FreeUI and SS_points (not the UA version) - these three things are not mentioned at all, without them, i cant even start up the mod. Why is this the case? Why not make a complete guide for install, why omit half the things? Do the authors of this mod enjoy making it harder for everyone?
Nevermind. When i disregard the install guide and proceed to do what the software tells me to - i.e. add the three other mods which are listed in the mod manager as "required" - i can start the mod but it doesnt work. It shows the UA splash screen and then the game dies. Tried it a year ago, tried the newest version now - the same - nothing. Only time this worked was 2+ years ago. What the hell? Why is this such a mess?
For all those whose game crashes on startup:
CHECK YOUR VERSION OF TYRANIDS! :)
This UA version is not compatible with 0.5b3 - you need 0.5b2.
