So it's an artillery unit? Sorry, the Juggernaut is just way more iconic as a GDI Artillery unit. :<

If it's not, maybe it's support fire? Or maybe DPS? I think the Scatterpack, Railgun, and MLRS fill those roles pretty well though.

So maybe it's a late-game core unit? That would be interesting. Goliath is the only other real core unit for GDI and while it doesn't lose power late-game it would be nice to have an alternative for different playstyles.

The Juggernaut is a pussy compared to this. ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

But in all seriousness, it is intended as a long range unit since GDI currently lack that extra punch needed in late games, aside from Siege Infantry. Weapon tests are still occurring.

Okay, if you give it that sweet sweet ******-inducing Juggernaut firing sound I'd be happy.

I thought the mobility and infantry armor of siege guys balances them vs. Nod artillery. They could move-shoot-move and kill the artillery without taking much damage, and you couldn't just lolambush them with stealth tanks, but they also had some vulnerability in form of lower HP. What is Nod supposed to do now?

Correct. Erastus based the Behemoth on the unit in that screenshot.

"Brothers, we are ******. As if MRLS walkers wiping out our entire armies in 3-4 salvos wasn't enough for GDI scum.
" - unknown Nod trooper

Looks like the new GDI War Factory is going to be huge, to let the MkII and this thing out without them clipping trough the roof.

Steel Talons' version of the Juggernaut in KW. Not exactly its own unit, and I don't think it's at risk of confusing anyone.

These Behemoth looks so much better than the MLRS Walker. Hope its artillery is even better than the MLRS Walker; too many frequent friendly fire from the Walker (can't even force fire right).

Also, is it me or the Behemoth's colour palette is a tad bit lighter than the Goliath?

A tip for force firing with the MLRS walker is that if you force fire at objects (like trees or civilian structures), the rockets will mostly head towards it instead of all around the place. I often use it to force-fire at cloaked Nod bases; instead of force-firing at the ground where I know there's a cloaked building, I force-fire at a tree or other object that's next to the cloaked building.

Of course, if no such objects are around, then you're out of luck.

I knew about that handy trick as well. With how widespread its attack is, it would have been the perfect decloaking unit. Alas, split-missile logic put a dent in that strategy.

Something tells me this will be a way more precise type of artillery unleashing a barrage targeting a single particular unit and not dealing any splash damage or whatnot.

Originally that was the plan, but we've opted for making it a new addition to the arsenal.

Description

Straight out of ErastusMercy's staff workshop, we have a new G.D.I. toy appropriately named the "Behemoth", for when you need to take down something big from afar.

More will be revealed on this unit in due time, we are still playing with the weaponry codes.
