Is it possible to correct the start-point of the phasers on the TNG-era starships? It gets slightly irritating to see the phaser start a few inches above the actual phaser bank.
And is there a way to make, instead of many rapid pulses, a constant beam. That would allow for inaccuracy and fighter-targeting. Just a few hopes... =-)
unfortunately not ...
the glyph engine version used in Eaw and FoC does not support "beams" all i can use are "sticks"
we have to live with that :/
what about a projectile based upon the death star,eclipse lasers and piett's proton beam. they dont tend to have the same problems as regular projectiles. it might be impossible to utilise but it might be possilbe to create decent phasers based upon the Superweapon lasers.
They'd be in the same category too :P
lasers are stopped by navigational shields you know, they don't even get to touch the defensive shielding.
unfortunately the death star beam is a mesh, and has a fixed length - we can't make it to change it's length dynamical ingame :(
Great to see some TOS kearsage class light cruisers in action! Could you use the point defense laser effect thats a beam and im sure its not like the Death stars super laser.
