Did they pierce the shields?
photonic torpedos do NOT pierce shields, but quantum torpedos will do
If the torps for feds dont peirce sheilds the empires and rebls shouldnt either.
In the intereration i havee had many battles where 1 acclamator held noff 3-5 galaXY CLASS SHIPS BECAUSE THE ACCLAMATOR peirced their shields
The Quantum's shield-passage more than makes up for the Photonic's lack thereof, in my own opinion.
I'd say it's great how it is.
And I'd also add that I'd prefer some anti-fighter defense aboard the large starships.
