What is Tides of War: Clone Wars? ToW: CW is a fan-built total conversion mod for Digital Anvil's Freelancer game that was released in 2002. When fans began to make mods for Freelancer, one of the many things people were keen on seeing was a Freelancer mod based on the Star Wars universe developed by George Lucas. While there are other Star Wars mods out there, none of have dedicated themselves to simulating the Clone Wars era.
C-9979 landing ships are the real workhorse of the Separatists when it comes to getting troops and armor down to the ground. An upgrade to the standard version now allows these ships to make independent hyperspace jumps without the need for a battleship or carrier to transport them to their destination. They can also double as a make-shift corvette but they lack the maneuverability necessary to avoid fighter attacks like a true corvette.
