This modification offers an alternative gameplay to Tiberian Wars involving many Tiberian Sun units which many CnC fans (like me) missing in vanilla CNC3 and add even new my made units which you can't find anywhere else. Story is quite the same like Tiberian Wars, but is all about what if GDI and Nod do not abandon technologies they have used in Tiberian Sun era and instead of that further developed them. But it's not only that, there are many visual, sound and balance changes which I want to see and hear in my mod, new sounds, new music, new effects (like blood and gore, new infantry deaths, new more realistic missile trails) and many more.

Reavers can teleport behind your base defence and criple your base if you leave your base without some heavy armor.

And THAT, boys and girls, is why you always keep extra defenses around crucial infrastructure.
And some more around the aditional infrastructure needed for those defenses.
And spare plants.
And why you don't relly on turrets to do the job of tanks(and Titans).

Actually even mammoth tank or titan would be enough or several scorpions or mantas counter them quite well too. Right now this beam is good only on structures and light armor.

Actually he is just saying that nothing was writen in stone. Any kind of change can happen. Take the Manta for exemple (from APC to MBT)

That is why I asked my question... because I thought that it would replace it... but the Devourer tank is good vs heavy armor too, even whith its normal beam... so if the Reaver (which is said not to be good vs heavy armor) will replace the Devourer... then it would need at least an upgrade to make it good vs heavy armor too... just like how the Devourer is/was.

Well seeing that Carnius didn't say anything, its a brand new unit without replacing anything then..
But then the current Devourer is not as unique as it used too be, I mean I rarely used it ever since the tripod has the same ability(+ triple independent cannon + closed range emp wave + shield upgrade)

do i get this right:

it teleports behind your base, and can combine its beams like a beam cannon, but it is waay weaker? cuz beam cannons r overpowered when in a group.
