"War... War never changes. The reasons why we fight these wars remain much the same; some are fought to conquer, for religious and ideological beliefs, other wars are fought over gold, oil, spices – natural resources and money. Power is the key element. This war is no different - except there's nothing natural about Tiberium. The year is 1995 and we have just begun to open up our eyes to view a brave new future, some will come to say it's a horrific future. It is the Dawn of the Tiberian future." --- Tiberian Dawn is a total-conversion for the game Command & Conquer: Tiberium Wars. Our goal is to bring C&C1;to a new engine, with enhanced features and graphics while also bringing back much of the classic style of gameplay while not taking steps back from what C&C3;implemented in the series as gameplay features. This is not of course our only goal - the idea of the total-conversion was inspired by an art piece by Godwin that showed the cruelty and bitter humanity of...

Today, we at Tiberian Dawn have come full circle.

Posted by Duuude007 on Apr 26th, 2008

One year ago today, we began a project to bring this nearly 13 year old game back to life, with artistic and strategic improvements that the original Westwood creators simply could not have envisioned back then.

When we started this, we knew well of the daunting tasks ahead of us, to ressurrect a game that not only brought back fond memories, but blended in new and interesting challenges to bring hardcore gamers into the fold.

Today is a proud day for us, as we have met our first year in the Tiberian Dawn project. In celebration, we are releasing 4 game updates:

Mobile Construction VehicleTiberium SiloApache Attack HelicopterWeapons Factory

This is good you say, but you would expect something a bit more erm... flashy, for our first full year?

Not to worry.

We at Tiberian Dawn, are proud to release our first official Full Motion Video: The Ion Cannon.

We have many events coming up, so keep your eyes peeled!

were doing the best we can :), hopefully stuff will speed up once classes wind down for some of us but things are getting there. I can speak from experience with many mods that the people on the Tiberian Dawn staff are probably the best i have ever worked with.

Good. I know you need more deep background, but we're up against it.

NOD forces have fortified this beachhead at X-16 Y-42. Intelligence is still coming in, so we can't tell you a lot, but we found a chink in their armor.

Commander Carter can sneak you in some backup forces on shore right here. You may get some artillery support from his gunboat, but this is mostly grunt work.

Your mission is simple: Knock out all fortifications, eliminate all NOD troops, and establish a beachhead by building your base.

Good luck.

You guys are doing some great work! Can't wait to play your mod when it comes out!

Are you going to rip the briefing cutscenes from the first games or are you going to remake them?
