Thrawn's Revenge is a large-scale mod for Empire at War: Forces of Corruption. It includes the events of the Galactic Civil War after Palpatine's death at Endor, up until the signing of the Pellaeon-Gavrisom treaty. If you own the Steam version of EaW, you will have to complete extra steps to run the mod after installation. Please see the manual for these steps.

those ships look like sw e3 venators
That's exactly what they are.
love these old school fighters :)
They look cool. :)
Out of curiosity. Will you be adding in the Bellator-class battlecruiser or maybe the Assertor dreadnought? Would be cool to have something between SD's and SSD's besides the Preator which I love btw. lol
No. Neither has actual armament information beyond size, and their roles are already filled by the Praetor and SSDs as far as just "really big ships with lots of weapons". The Assertor is only a little bit shorter than the Executor, so I don't imagine there's any substantive differences between it, and the Bellator would be the same sort of idea, only half the size. Neither really adds anything though, there's no point adding something else between the Praetor and the SSD since there's no enemy ships between those sizes either. The Praetor itself was mostly just added to fill that gap between the ISD and the SSD, so continuing down that road with ships that do the same thing without actually knowing exact stats would add nothing to gameplay, and just waste a lot of development time and crowd the build bar.
I keep seeing mods that try to spam as many gigantic ships as possible, and it seems like a waste of time to me. There's like a 2 second window where people would say "oh superships yay" but after that you have to deal with EaW's ****** pathfinding and the fact that you've now made a faction really top heavy with irrelevant units.
Actually they would fit in pretty well. I can give you their armament and role.
The Bellator: Carrier/Battlecruiser.
80-teraton superheavy turbolasers (26) (13x2)
210-teraton heavy turbolasers (192) (48x4)
40-teraton heavy turbolasers (320) (40x8)
Heavy ion cannons (56) (14x4)
200-gigaton medium turbolasers (736) (184x4)
600-megaton light turbolasers point defense guns (6272) (1568x4)
Anti-ship heavy missile tubes (108)
Tractor Beam Projectors (2)
Gravity Well Generators (2)
Complement
432 Starfighters and various other land units and shuttles
Assertor:
20-teraton Super Heavy Turbolasers (384) (192x2)
240-teraton HTL (2156) (539x4)
40-teraton HTL (2128) (266x8)
240-teraton ion cannon (240) (60x4)
Tractor Beam Projectors (12)
Gravity Well Generators (5)
Thousands of Lesser Weapons
Single Superlaser
The Assertor could replace that rather ugly inquisitor(looks a billion times cooler)and the Bellator could be a fighter carrier with that release fighter ability Vader had in FoC. Both ships are incredibly strong so as a counter you could lower the pop requirement for that huge Calamary ship and give the ability to build more than one. Never understood why it's limited to one and costs so much pop anyway.
The assertor could be a great counter for the Pentastar Alignment against the SSD's the AI loves to spam in. lol
Just some ideas that came to mind last time I was playing.
[Citation Needed] for the ship stats. Role-playing wikias don't count.
Those stats are, as far as I'm aware, just from some wiki used for a roleplaying game. They're fanon.
Also, what's the Inquisitor?
The Assertor looks like it's essentially a worse version of the Sovereign or Eclipse, both of which are far more canonically relevant to what we're covering. Again, neither of these fill a space that's actually needed to be filled, it'd just be pointlessly plugging in units because they're there. They'd serve no new purpose but filling up space, the IR has all the superships they need.
Mixed up the Inquisitor with the Sovereign. Sry. You know? That big black ship Palpy can build.
The Assertor could fill a role btw. The role of the SSD for the Alignment.
I think what he means is that it would be a little bit more fun if a couple of extra ships were added in as much as I love the praetor I kinda wish I could play some of the other unique units you never get the chance to see although I realize you guys stick to canon
More unit variety equals more replay ability. The mod gets rather boring after a while when you run out of new unit combos to explore. Implementing cool units like the Secutor SD or the Bellator and the Assertor would certainly improve variety and add to the fun. :)
I agree but I would like to see something more like Cloud City,Chu'unthor, the Death star, the Death star 2,the Death star portotype,Hosk station,Tafanda bay,World destroyers,Nomad city or any of the numerus other awsome city/superweapons in the Star Wars galaxy! (if you add Nomad city you would have to add shieldships as a buyable unit)
ps.These are all taken from star wars the essential guide to vehicles and vessels,
So as far as I know all of them are canonically relevant to the mod
pps.I would also like to see engine and sheald hard points added to the ssd and the huge Mon Calamary ship of the Rebel Allince,
Hmm. So that wiki isn't official huh? :P
Sad. The units would still be cool in game non the less.
tbh, i view some of the FS ships to be heavily armed test-beds for various systems, technologies, methods, tactics, and weapons. like, the kinds of projects that are important enough to have massive resources, but also the ones you would rather have hidden and protected.
swear to god thats a real image xD
Will there be TIE Hunters, guess you don't need the stats for them :P
Twin Laser Cannons
Twin Ion Cannons
S-foil capability but can only fire in Attack Mode
Hyper-drive Equipped :D
They're already in the released version of the mod...

Looks like an Old Republic fleet, all the available ships('cept an Acclamator and a Dreadnaught) at that period are there. Wouldn't be surprised if the commanding officer served in the Old Republic Navy as well.
Very nicely designed. What will be their color in GC (hopefully not Red and White).
This screenshot is from GC; this is the new default colouring for PA ships.
Don't want to sound too harsh but will you be redoing the venator??? It looks great from a distance, but that's about it, apart from that the mod is brilliant and I can't wait for more, Great work!!!
