Thrawn's Revenge is a large-scale mod for Empire at War: Forces of Corruption. It includes the events of the Galactic Civil War after Palpatine's death at Endor, up until the signing of the Pellaeon-Gavrisom treaty. If you own the Steam version of EaW, you will have to complete extra steps to run the mod after installation. Please see the manual for these steps.
The new map for Corellia, by Med8r.
omg it looks very good!
Very cool
I thought Corellia was part urban, part forested...
Well the map can't cover the whole planet. This is Coronet City. Earth is part desert, part urban, mostly water, part tundra, mountainous and a hundred other things, but a map of New York wouldn't have all of that.
I was about to agree with dataskywalker, but then realised you make a very good point, besides there are loads of forest type maps in FOC anyway, so come across a good urban based map is rare. From snippits of EU info, this is a good representation of Coronet, one of my favourite locations in SW :3
I understand your point, and I don't disagree. It will be a great map, I can tell. I'm only asking because I'm thinking back to Rogue Squadron 1's Corellia mission and Empire at War, where Corellia was portrayed the way I described. Btw, those were and still are awesome games.
Only way to show planets like they are is to make more parts of a planet, like every planet has 3 parts of it, 3 maps to conquer etc. Only thing is, I have no clue how you should show that on the campaign map. I supose it is posible if you made a zoom in version of the campaign map with bigger planets, so you have more spots, than you could also make like more spots around a planet als "space"
Would be really awesome, but you should have smaller maps than.
Mabye an Idea for someone because I am not a modder.
Just a poor soul playing videogames :P
It's a cool concept, but FoC's engine wouldn't be able to handle it. If it were possible, big mods like this one would certainly have figured out how to do it by now, 6 years after the game's release.
Chulaksaviour's correct on this one. The Star Wars galaxy already has WAY too many forest/temperate planets, which inevitably makes for boring maps and boring gameplay. That's why I chose to make Corellia's land map all about Coronet. There's not really that many urban maps in the game, and an urban Corellia helps to mix things up a bit.
you could make a map like this but have half and half to appease the players :P start the fight with some forest raids then fall back to city defense. but i think this map is phenomenal!
