The Red Alert, developed by the mod team of C&C Labs (makes of The Forgotten and C&C All Stars, undertakes one of the most ambitious tasks in C&C modding: to recreate and improve upon an original game. The mod, in development for Red Alert 3, is based off the original Red Alert's art and game play. Not aiming to model realism, it instead endeavors to bring the addictive heart-pounding game play of the classic to a world-class 3D engine, to bring back all of the classic units, including those from Aftermath, and to recreate the very "feel" of its art style. With The Red Alert, epic tank battles, MiG attack runs, and Cruiser strikes will be more than just fond memories — they will all be weapons in your arsenal once again! It was released on September 21, 2011 and was ranked the number one mod on Moddb.
The fourth Major media release from the red alert.
fikkin awsome!man I love that oldschool flame trower and tesla. but just one question: are the powerplants finished? the roof looks so clean..annyways great job
OMG that tesla coil looks bloody awesome!!!
Great work.
But I'd like to suggest that you take some liberties like replacing the soviet Tanya with Volkov and Chitzkoi.
Agreed, that would be a great idea.
Thanks. :)
Definitely. Volkov NEDDS a return!
The Power Plants are looking too clean, too shiny and as a result too cartoony to me. The Tesla Coil, the Flame Tower and the Barracks look awesome. I don't like the Heavy Tank, it doesn't look as menacing as the original one, maybe because the barrels are too skinny.
Just some ideas I hope to help the developing of this great mod.
are u going to change the ore back to how it was in the first game or will it be RA3 style?
i never understood why there was tanya on both sides
the tank looks awesome,(Y)
I really do not hope you will harvest money like in RA3. I loved the old way where you were necessary to go out and find a field where you could harvest, like in the first RA. One of the things that made that I would not play Red Alert 3 anymore was that I was compelled to harvest money from a "building". It gives a much better feeling in the body when there is a competition for harvest like in old days in RA1.
But I will still wish you good luck with the mod. It looks really good and I relive the good game play. The only thing I think I should change is the way you want to harvest gold. ;)
