So, it went like this. At first I had troubles running the mod, but eventually I did get it to work... but not for long. After that I installed the Sol map pack and the mod stopped working at all (the Sol map pack still worked). I reinstalled it many, many times, wiped the BF2 folder completely more than once, but never could get it to actually work again, despite the config file lying through its teeth that its enabled. Other mods like the Conversion Pack run just fine. 1.3 patch of the latest version installed. I even scoured the registry to see if there's maybe something there that prevents it from working, but had little luck. |

What exactly do you mean when you say that you can't get it to work? Does the era/maps just not show up, or what? |

I'm having the same problems. After installing the mod, the music changes, but nothing else does (new menus, maps, Mass Effect era are all absent). I installed the Sol Map Pack in the same BF2 installation and it works fine. All the ME5 files are in the right place as far as I can tell. In my case, I'm installing this on Linux under WINE, which means that your configuration utility doesn't work. Is there some registry or configuration setting that I need to manually enter in order to activate the mod? I've looked around the directories but don't see anything obvious. Alternatively, can you post manual installation instructions? Thanks! |
