Leader: Pandolfo Petrucci

The Republic of Siena has a long history, started out from the legendary founding by the sons of Remus. According to legend, the children of Remus, Senio and Aschio, had to flee Rome, due their father's lost conflict with Romulus. They arrived at the shores of the river Tressa and built the Castel Senio (nowadays Castelvecchio) on a near hillside. The black and white smoke of their fanned fire, became the colours of the city of Siena (Balzana). Since the year dot, Siena is a bitter enemy to Florence and a supporter of Papal authority in Italy. As ingrained Guelfs, the Senesi are not open-minded to any of the German Emperors intentions in Italy. A conflict between the Pope and the Emperor would test the Republic, once more.

Amazing as ever, there is 1 error though: siena supported the pope (for most of its history) , while the ghibellines were the supporters of the emperor so they were Guelfs.
BTW will we see a nice historical building for the kingdom of Naples? (i am very proud of my home city)

I wrote that they are supporters of the Pope, didn't I?
Well, I am afraid not, not at the moment.
But what building would you suggest?

In fact you did write the correct thing but made a mistake here: as ingrained GHIBELLINES (here it should be guelfs), the Senesi are not open-minded to any of the German Emperors intentions in Italy.
As for the Building the right idea could be the Maschio (or Mastio) Angioino, a castle built by the french in the 13th century (after the Battle of Benevento) but whose famous white marble façade was built by order of Alphonse of Aragona.
it's probably the most interesting renaissance building in the whole city.

Hi, guys. Thank you very much for this mod: as a Sienise, I cam say that for me this is probably the best thing ever involving MTW. Just let me clarify the guelph-ghibelline thing: in fact, Siena used to be a fierce opponent to the Guelph city of Florence, so it was a Ghibelline city supporting the Emperor. Stil nowadays, the rivalry between these two cities is strong and the football match between Siena and Florence football clubs is appelled "Guelph vs. Ghibellines derby". Thanks again for creating this wonderful faction! Greetings from Siena!

Hi and apologize in advance for my english,
Very good job. I'm from Siena and I can assure you that the Guelphs were on the side of the pope and the Ghibellines from the emperor. Siena as a Ghibelline city clashed with Florence Guelph. I also am not sure that it's possible to use the coat of arms of the 17 districts of Siena (I know that in other games was not permitted).
I can not wait to try the game, congratulations for your work.
