11 unique factions full of new heroes, spells, and abilities. Hundreds of new maps. A brand-new campaign. A thoroughly reworked and expanded War of the Ring mode - and much more!
The Harondor Warlord, flanked by spearmen and archers. Men of Harondor make up a decent chunk of Haradwaith's unit roster.
great as always
Amazing
Excelent
“More Haradrim have just arrived!”
Excellent job Mathijs!
The showcase of the Harondor Swordmen, will it be used as cavalry unit ( rider or Serpent Guard ) since in the plans there are only the Archers and Spearmen listed ?
Correct.
Ah yes, the the warriors have awakened
Aaaah! I'm so excited! I want to play Gondor v Haradwaith battles. haha Plus the inevitable surge in YouTube videos upon release.

Somehow they do not look as spectacular to me as some other of your designs do. I think that you missed the point with the design. Let me explain:
- Easterlings are an example of great design. They have the aura of real world eastern culture but they are a mix of many others also. Greco-Japanese helmet with the distinct samurai front crest put on the back of it. Scale armor from China mixed with garbs from Arabia. They also bear a unique weapon and a shield similar to the one Roman legions had. Inside the armor is not a man of Asia or the Middle East, but more like from ancient Assyria or Akkad. The point is, there are so many layers to the design and we can not point out from where mostly the idea comes.
- These models look like they are coming from an medieval times themed mod. To me these are clearly Saracens ready to heed Saladins call.
I know that the theme of the Men of Harad should be Arabian/Middle Eastern, but you could have put more layers into their design. The helmets especially look boring.
They are great models but the design itself could be better.
These are but one of various cultures that will be visualized in Haradwaith. They're the northernmost population of the region, and are intended to look like pre-Weta RPG book designs that were often analogous to the classic "Saracen warrior" look. We want to have that identity clearly present in the faction. Units such as the Mahûd and the currently unpublished Nafarati and Karna units will look less historical.
As you pointed out, Easterlings have perhaps the most exotic design to them from various sources that is almost entirely original.
But it is not a sin to get inspired from sth now is there?
The Steel Shields, long spears, Nasal helmets, colorful tunics,...
Their bows look the same design the Easterlings and the Bardings used though!
I believe these guys look super badass, and just how Mathijs pointed out there are a plethora of people’s and cultures to be presented in Haradwaith, I mean take the Dominant Black Numenoreans who act as rulers in Haradwaith, they are basically Arnor and Gondor gone rogue!
are they supposed to be wearing light or heavy armor in this render? it looks to me heavy armor
Amazing
I believe the one in the front is a Thrall master version for Harandor???
And the others have beautiful colors and fabrics so enchanting you can’t keep your eyes off.
Great work you have just brought a very less known faction into life!
Correct!
Very neat stuff!
I love it. I LOVE IT!
