11 unique factions full of new heroes, spells, and abilities. Hundreds of new maps. A brand-new campaign. A thoroughly reworked and expanded War of the Ring mode - and much more!
While I must say that I like Nazgul Rams to my opinion they just became the second best out of 2 Models XD This is awesome, they may differ from the Movie a little but they are certainly unique and detailed!Great job! :-)
I'm quite sure that other surprises will come from the magical and amazingly grotesque world of the Hobbit trilogy and beyond, more divine-type yet terrible... ;)
Anyway, extremely conceptual and highly detailed models for anything related to Dwarven Matters.
Many people (including me) will rightly be very delighted by these concepts :)
The think I do not like in Nazgul Rams is that their pose is bended down and they look similar to Wargs but indeed the Model is good and based entirely on Movie Model while this one is more of personal touch to it and different look !And while I like More the Movie Model I must say that this one is amazing well done and good looking! :-)
Well, this is just an interesting question. Which animation set do you use for the goats? The render looks like that Mathijs rigged them to some horse skl....which will acting a little bit strange in the game. Goats (and the one from the movies) have something brutal and not as delicate as horses.
But, in fact every render from Horse Lords is shown without rigging. :D
Well we're going to try different rigs before we settle on just one. But if a suitable rig isn't found I might just make custom animations for them.
And yes lately we have been showing inanimate renders hehe.
I am little bit confused. Why did i get a down vote because of a question? Something strange going on in this section. :D
I rigged the rams from Naz with the kuorcrider_skl from rotwk. It does not act as animalistic as a warg, but not as delicate as horses. Give it a try.
Personally i think there is no need to make some new animations, but this is your own decision. ;)
I think they'll look fine on the horse skeleton. You can make a few new idles that emphasize them moving their horns, doing goat stuff. Wouldn't be a time-consuming job.
"their pose is bended down and they look similar to Wargs" - that is because the SEE model is based on the warg proportions. That is the only way to secure the best rig possible. You can't just model something any way you like and expect it to rig to a certain set of anims. Mathijs did a great job with this ram, especially the texture I must say. But I doubt it would rig quite as good to the warg SKL (skeleton).
Like Ea said, it might be meant for horse animations, and that gives a taller more slender look than mine, that also rig quite good to the beasts pulling the dwarven artillery machines. In the end, it's simply a matter of taste, and I thought warg anims would fit better.
Well, ask the moddb admins if they can delete the down-vote option in your section. We had exactly the same problem in the past on our edain page. There were some downvote trolls, whereby every single comment has been burried.
This is really nice model, thank you for sharing this with us! :)
I really like those rams, this species look really exotic, and I hope you will add some animations with horns, head rotation for example and good sounds, I suggest to find some panting sounds, wild rams have those sound effect in nature. :)
In general, I prefer more some species like BigHorn sheep ( Westernwatersheds.org ) or similar species with stronger look horns, but this one is really exotic and I like it. :)
Great job!
I share your opinion Crag my friend!I too am a fan of those Big Horn Sheep !They look stronger and better for doing Knockback but still this Model is really amazing and with few proper sounds and movements they will be great! :-)
I found 60-70% Extended Edition Scenes on youtube,by a youtuber EredLuin Tr (i think his name is that)
-Elves Vs Dwarves(Goats,Ballistas,Blonde Elvish princess provoking etc.)
-Funeral Of Thorin,Fili,Kili
-Long Live the King!
-"Echtelion of Gondor will give you a good price for it.."
-Chariot,frozen river etc.
-Women of Lake-Town fight with their men
-Galadriel at Dol Guldur scene,"I came for Mithrandir,if you try to stop me,i will kill you."
And many more!
These are fantastic!they will go go really well with the iron hills soldiers, hopefully there will be a way for them to bow their heads when charging :D
Also a question about the battle wagons, is it possible to add the wheel spikes as seen on the chariot in the film? and is there a possibility of the bighorn sheep styles being included in any way? even mounts for thorin, fili, kili and dwalin (far-fetched i know)
Well the Battle wagon is going to get a new look, maybe not as accurate but it's going to match to ram. Might add wheel spikes if they aren't to outlandish.
Also no ram mounts for heroes, that might just be a campaign thing if it's done at all.
Ah I understand, I meant that as in like multiple rams as oppose to a single one pulling the chariot but whatever's good! not much more I can think to ask for now bar dain haha

Personally, i am prefer Nazgul's goats (SEE). But these are very well done Mathijs. Another work from the inofficial team? :D

And another round of downvotes. Eh.
But I am here for a round of upvotes :D!

(buried)
That thing happens mostly on SaF. :P
I ask a question or reply and i get -2 or -3 xD

Size of model will also be important. xD
Well as we can see in the Trailer and soon in the EE itself the Rams are not so bigger than the Dwarves like Humans and Horses! :-)

ah yes I see sounds great either way , I take it theres no possibility of actual chariots? just wagons?
Well it's supposed to be renamed from wagon to chariot XP.
Ah I understand, I meant that as in like multiple rams as oppose to a single one pulling the chariot but whatever's good! not much more I can think to ask for now bar dain haha
Sh*t Just got real !!!
Five rams per unit or ten ?
7 :P
I hope you add the Chariots Dain brings in with him in the Extended Edition, those things are badass.
Little bit late reaction from me - but really nice model. Suitable for mountain environment. ;o)
Pajama-Mama, the amount of detail on this model is amazing! Really like the look of it, very natural.
I hope that we can see similar changes in Edain too,I mean making the Rams somehwhat bigger and more proud stand looking like this! :)
Rams made by Mr.Ringwraith are bigger than these.
