After everything you guys have shown to us, it's kind of hard to be impressed anymore, still, you guys impressed once again.
The armor there is both strong and mobile, the details and patterns in both shield and sword, like it has been enchanted, make for a perfect fit for a Wyrm Slayer.
And for some reason, I am seeing Lanius from fallout new Vegas on that mask... I must stop playing fallout for a while, now.

It looks like an ancient dwarf warrior from the First or Second Age. Or a dwarf from Ered Mithrin. The armor and war mask is very nice.
Well I have a new candidate for my main faction now. Dwarves will be so great in this mod. Can't wait! Look at those details damn it!
To be honest both versions are awesome. Do keep in mind that the previous model said to have mattocks as weapons can still be put in game as a "Centurion" providing support and leadership.

Beautiful! I love the sword
This new model looks a lot more the part. The grimmer colours, the mask and the fur shoes fit the Ered Mithrin/Withered heath northern fighter. Maybe they could get the option to switch weapons to spears, more adequate when fighting the monsters. The previous golden, mattock bearing model looked more like a Royal Guard. They were gorgeous too, hope they are still implemented somehow. Maybe an inn or campaign unit? Or even a second type of hero battalion? Keep it up!
The previous version is scrapped and won't be in the mod. I'm unhappy with how it looks.
We just decided to add in a new unit for the faction though, and it'll have gold elements. Refer to the faction plan for details!
