The Great War is a modification for Company of Heroes meant to bring the war two decades earlier. This mod focuses on the later years of the First World War. Currently the two teams will be the British Expeditionary Force against the German Empire, however with time the team will try and bring some more nations in, such as France and Austria-Hungary. This mod will focus or realism but keep the game balanced enough to make it enjoyable. Things to look for in the mod are the famous artillery strikes and the infamous gas attacks. Trenches will provide vital cover for infantry while tanks will roll over the battlefield and instil fear into the enemy troops.

Maybe I missed something, but will there be a direct German equivalent to the British trench raiders? Because, just going by design, the German Stosstruppen look more like an assault unit, while the Raiders look like a Stealth unit.

No, by design the factions are not mirrored. There are no direct equivalents to those units. The factions have different approaches for dealing with particular tactics.
You got the roles of those two units spot on by the way.
Ha, I guess it speaks for the great art direction when I can tell the role of a unit by its appearance!

Yeah, those are excellent reads. I went through them some times ago. "Sniping in France" is a must read for anyone with an interest in sniping.

This kinda reminds me of a 2 v 2 my friends and i did in this mod. Long story short as a few landsers (spelling) were leaving the base they basically tripped over a bush and the 80 raiders in the bush said "ow"...the landsers were never seen again.
