The Great War is a modification for Company of Heroes meant to bring the war two decades earlier. This mod focuses on the later years of the First World War. Currently the two teams will be the British Expeditionary Force against the German Empire, however with time the team will try and bring some more nations in, such as France and Austria-Hungary. This mod will focus or realism but keep the game balanced enough to make it enjoyable. Things to look for in the mod are the famous artillery strikes and the infamous gas attacks. Trenches will provide vital cover for infantry while tanks will roll over the battlefield and instil fear into the enemy troops.

what guns will they b using?
Webley revolvers, sawn SMLEs, mills bombs and bangalore torpedoes.
Wow, I din't know they got the commandos before WWII, these guys gonna kick kraut's ***. Is there a way to counter these guys?
they are not commandos, but trench raiders. such units were common in allied armies(mostly in british and its dominion and usa armies) in 1917-1918. germans had stosstruppen - shock units.
Ah Sawn-Off SMLEs. As cool as the concept is, my SMLE kicks hard enough as it is without sawing down the barrel to virtually pistol length! I'd hate to try it myself.
Might they have the Webley Mk.VI with the Pritchard (I think) bayonet attachment? ;)
so are there going to be any tanks? if there are are they good tanks or crap tanks?

As for the second question: they're WW1 era tanks, nuff' said.
yaaaaa try using one fo the heavy tanks with a destryoed engine...it might get there sometime next millenia.
