Our focus is naval warfare now, but in meantime we are continuing with balancing the current version and maybe adding something new.
We have a lot of work to do, but the progress is promising.

So how will you handle the naval combat? Capturable dock structures, or a special unit that deploys into a naval dock?

When I capture navy dock can I use all navy factions or each navy faction with his special building requires like development center,strategy center and propaganda center

Zumwalt? Seriously? Isn't it a failed project IRL?

LRLAP (Long Range Land Attack Projectile) procurement was cancelled, rendering the guns unusable, so the Navy re-purposed the ships for surface warfare. Procurement was halted after the first three Zumwalts, and the Navy reverted to building more Arleigh Burke destroyers. A National Review article by Mike Fredenburg calls the Zumwalts "an unmitigated disaster".
Personally, I'd prefer Arleigh Burke as well. It's just better in anything (anti-air, anti-submarine, etc), despite being older.

Failed project IRL means it can be realized ingame.
I think the purpose of many of these units is a "what if" scenario, as in "what if the US Navy actually carried through the Zumwalt-class destroyer and built it as it was envisioned". You can see the same sort of logic in including the SU-47 Berkut, which was nothing more than a tech-demonstrator IRL.
Yeah! Same with "what if GLA..."
I thought this mod was about "realism", not about "what if". Or should we expect another RotR at the end?
I've been playing this mod for a while now.. And based on my interactions with Alexei and the new/revamped units I think the philosophy is realsim in the original context of what generals is. Generals is a futuristic-set (when it was made) game using modern weapons.
I believe the "what if" realsim lies in if Isis or Al-Qaida actually did form an international terror network like the GLA, we would be in a war mode, where just a sin the world wars countries pulled the stops on development.
If the GLA were real, the Zumwalt, Microwave tanks, overlords, etc would be developed to counter them.
So no. This won't end up as a hyper Sci fi mod like ROTR. It will be a "if we were in the Third World War, this weapon (which is on the development books IRL) will be developed.
That's an interesting point actually. Guess I'll take this explanation for now.

Also depending on the balance it can have and missiles from back tubes. Really depend on the testing and balance ...

dude i suggest when you finish usa and russia release the navy for them so at least we can give you more info about any further improvements and bugs besides as well as having some fun with this new strategic warfare as we waited for it for a long time ... best regards
I'll decide when the time comes. But most likely we will test it internally. If it works well will continue with other factions and then will release it. I don't want to release only for 2 factions, not really professional :)

are the GLA and China will get naval units too? and btw I like the Zumwalt design, but I think the AA guns in the back isn't it too many if you put 2 miniguns on the ship?

Wonder if the Russians will get the Kirov class battlecruiser for their super naval unit. I mean, they have several cool choices for final naval units, but the US could get things like the Iowa-refit, or the Nimitz class aircraft carrier, so the Russians need something to combat those tanks.
Aircraft carriers will not be made, since the game engine is not supporting moving carriers with planes on top, so we will focus only on destroyers, corvettes and submarines. I don't have plans for Kirov. It's too big for game like Generals. Russian Navy is finished and already shown in the images.

i love this mod great work man but i think u need to increase the range of some of the air units the tu22 m3 isn't the only bomber with long range cruise missiles
can you please make the naval dock buildable rather than Capturabel ?
if its a hassle then nvm but i dunno i want it cus i love buildable navy
