Due to a very small team of seven people with no super experience and no good scripting/dialogue/mapping experience. Thank you for supporting this mod and I thank ModDB for advertising this mod.
We have decided that the mod will be released in segments, otherwise known as "episodes." There will be a total of 7 episodes, each having to do with an hour of the Seven Hour War, and each taking control of a different character, with a unique storyline.
The Assonance, Episode 1: Foundation
In Foundation you play as Johan Nitum, one of the very first to rise against the Combine. It takes place in the main plaza by the train station (in Half-Life 2), one of the very first places the Combine attacked.
The Assonance, Episode 2: Subsequent Attack
In Subsequent Attack you play as Lester Lucor, leader of the Resistance group Juliette. You are attacking a small group of Combine when a surge of Antlions force you into the abandoned mining town of Ravenholm.
The Assonance, Episode 3: Lifeless Metropolis
In Lifeless Metropolis you play as Celeste Curijy, a Refugee living in a toppled shack in Ravenholm. After the Resistance group Beta finds you dieing of hunger and thirst, you join the group and are soon fighting hordes of zombies, backing into the city where you came from.
The other episodes still need names and storylines. Episode 1 will be released on May 28th, 2009. The final episode will most likely be released in August 2010.
Note that the release date marks the release of the sixth episode, not the first or second.
All that is going on is skinning and mapping. We need help with the title screen. Send one to polkaman_disco at yahoo.com.

Ok guys, im gonna tell you the truth, and this is how it is. Valve made the game and im taking information off of what they told everyone. ( combine soldiers and metrocops.... they didnt arrive till after the seven hour war, The reason is because humans didnt live on the combine homeworld and they came straight to earth to take over. Combine soldiers ( including the elites, are bio mechanically enhanced humans. The combine synths ( AKA - Advisors were the ones that took over earth. they only created the combine military after, so they could have someone to help them out. Once again, for all you ****** retards that cant base any mod off the real hl2 story and basics, Get the **** out if you cant comprehend the fact that your very inaccurate. This mod will continue to fail unless you fix our little problem ( **** Use this link for a guide line **** ) - En.wikipedia.org
If your a 7 year old piece of **** still believing that the combine soldiers came from some kind of portal from another world, your obviously a ****** retard and you have no social life, It bugs alot of people to know the fact that your all a bunch of dumb asswipes and you cant get the ****** **** RIGHT.
Yeah. There weren't.
There were no "human" Combine during the Seven hour war, it was all Synths.
Wow, I don't know as much about the Half-Life storyline I thought I did...
And I looked it up, it wasn't synths, it was Advisors.
That doesn't make sense, as you see Combine gunships on a newspaper in Eli's lab.
Alright. Synths and Advisors.
And Combine synths and soldiers aren't true Combine either way. The Advisors are.
... but they still didn't use Advisors for warfare for sure. I think they used machines which were so ******* pwn that they weren't worth leaving them on earth. Instead the combine were created...
Indeed. Staying on the subject you see two Synths(Crab and mortar Synths) that were never used in the games in the final Citadel pod ride. Also, Hunters are also a pain to kill when you don't have the gravity gun, so those count as front line attack units as well.
We are putting our best effort into this mod. Each episode will take at least 2 to 3 months to make, depending on how much we put into it, which leaves us with about 17 1/2 months...I guess you're right.
