In this modification for Rome: Total War, the whole world will be open to you and your historically accurate (and occasionally historically extrapolated) armies. Play as one of twenty-one of the world's greatest civilisations, from the Inca in the Americas to the Romans in Europe, and the Indians, Chinese and Japanese in the East. But you will not simply control these forces in a technologically static campaign, you will guide them through the Iron Age, to the Gunpowder Age and into the Industrial revolution.
This is
THE AGE OF MANKIND: TOTAL WAR
The Factions:
Are being reworked.

Hello everyone,
Thanks for your choice to watch this mod, but I can now say for certain that it is quite dead in its original concept. A new mod, which RichyG13 founded, called the Renaissance World: TW or somesuch, was started, but I'm not sure if it is being followed through.
I blame myself for the mod's death, as I really didn't put in as much effort as I should have. I also feel strongly that the mod would have had a demo version released some time ago, late last yearish, if our mapper, whose name I will not spread, had delivered his beta world map to us.
Again, I thank you for your interest. If this concept ever resurfaces it will be based on MII or a later Total War game.
Yours faithfully,
Lonely Soldier

Sounded interesting, what happened to it? Dead perhaps?
From what i read this mod looks to be one of the greatest proposed mods for RTW (or M2TW)
The Mesoamerican States will become the Aztecs. Why dont you comment Maya's because they are in the infantry units
MII:TW Has been officially announced! I have suggested that development be moved to it for this mod. We are yet to decide for sure, but I'll keep you posted regardless!
Why does it say on the images "error loading image"?
I am Dane to (davs alle andre) but the vikings are probberly going to be Rebel faction or mecenaries. there is a faction limit and we can't add to many factions due to this. we don't have a african faction either.
Maybe this problem with be solved but at the moment we can't say much.
I'm really sorry that this mod did not work out as first advertised but I hope that you are still thinking about putting in a scandinavian faction..
The reason for me asking this of you is because the scandinavian countries it is very rarely included in historical RTS games, and I think alot of Danes, Swedes, Norwegians and Fins are missing being able too play as their own countries..
Again good luck with the mod..
General Announcement
The mod now starts in the year 1453, the year Constantinople fell to the Turks. Therefore some faction names will change. The Romans will be the Italians. The Sassanids will be the Turks. There will be an Arab faction in Arabia, North Africa and parts of Spain. The Hellenistic States will be either changed or removed. We will still have the Spanish, the Germans, the French and the English (not the British).
The Mesoamerican States will become the Aztecs. The Inca will remain. The North American tribes, which were never really accurate anyway, will also be changed.
Japan and China will remain, and will use these names. The Champa Empire will be the Cambogee or the Angkor, I will research this further. The Indians will be the Moghuls.
That's all for now. The mod has now well and truly changed, but I think for the better. We will strive to make a working demo, containing historical battles between the Spanish and various native Americans, as well as between some other factions to illustrate scope.
We will need new faction icons, new histories and descriptions (which I will do).
Thank you.
PS - The reasons for these sweeping changes have a lot to do with my total lack of knowledge of Rome and it's engine. I take full blame for any time people have wasted in working on this mod up to now, but I hope that we will be able to offer an interesting and unique mod to the community.
What started as a mod showing the whole world from 500BCE to 2500CE has become a modification depicting the whole world from 1453 to 1900, still a vast undertaking.
Here it comes, what you've all been expecting... we need modellers, scripters, researchers (with some idea of academic rigour please!) and basically anyone else who is willing to help us. From the start interest has been woefully low, many have said that the mod is impossible, and now I finally, after a year of sporadic and ineffectual work, see that the doubters were right.
Thanks.
Hey
i think i'ts a realley good idea with the vikings i am danish so i am the viking... please add the vikings :D
Glad to hear that.. If you need some unit suggestions I'll be glad to help out, i'm a dane so i know a little about the vikings and their history.. anyway good luck with this mod, im really looking foward to it..
