Tactical Fleet Simulator (TFS) is a total overhaul with the aim of transforming Homeworld2 into a tactics-oriented strategy game. Initial versions aimed for a more immersive tactical "simulator" orientation, the current version provides a more refined and consistent RTS experience.

The BHI-78 (BBI-78) Battleship is the most powerful capital-class ship fielded by the Hiiagaran fleet, equipped with powerful Ion Cannon turrets and ASM-25G Torpedo launchers. The ASM-25G is strongest yield torpedo fielded by the Hiigaran military.
The BLI-78 (BCI-78) is a scaled-down variant that forgoes the Torpedo launchers and advanced point-defense weapons of the Battleship in favor of greater mobility, speed and lower cost; providing a more cost-effective solution for attacking smaller capital ship types.
