Description

In SWAT 4 originally, there were only three movement speed options, and these were dictated by armor. No Armor had the bonus of making everything 2x faster to use.

In SEFv4, your movement speed and use speed are now dictated by two factors: Weight and Bulk, respectively. Weight represents how heavy your equipment is, while bulk represents how big it is. Generally weight and bulk are connected, although there are exceptions. The Python is bulkier but lighter than the Desert Eagle, for instance.

The weight meter, in the top, goes from 5kg to 50kg. At 50kg you can't carry any more weight; the bar becomes red and you are barred from entering the mission. The Bulk meter goes from 0% to 100%. It's possible to get weight higher than bulk, but it's hard to do. This system affects both your AI officers and yourself.

As a result of this system, you can customize the amount of magazines you want to take, in order to fine-tune your loadout for optimal performance...or just to carry a LOT of ammo. You can carry up to 100 reloads of ammunition. A reload counts as either a magazine, shotgun shell, taser cartridge, ... depending on the kind of weapon.
