SWAT: Elite Force is a massive overhaul of SWAT 4: The Stetchkov Syndicate, making it into a more realistic tactical police simulator.

It would be cool to carry more lightsticks, they really improve immersion of darker maps.

Do lightsticks disappear after some time (if yes how much ?) or are they infinite ?

Lightsticks in TSS will lose their glow after 5 minutes. In multiplayer, they will also disappear if no player can see them after this 5 minute period. Lightsticks, when dropped, lose their physics after 10 seconds (physics set to PHYS_None instead of PHYS_Havok), so they won't move in reaction to explosives or shots.

In SWAT: Elite Force v6, lightsticks never lose their physics and the glow time will most likely be adjusted. (The exact value TBA, we need to do some multiplayer testing to get a good estimate of exactly how many lightsticks players should have and how long they should last, or if maybe we should limit how many lightsticks appear in the world)

Description

In v6, lightsticks can be thrown like grenades. Pressing the lightstick button ("L" by default) will now pull out your lightsticks. Quickly tapping the fire button will drop one at your feet and holding the button will allow you to throw with force.

This is distinctly different from TSS, where pressing the lightstick button just dropped one at your feet. The idea was taken from SWAT 3.

Also, you can see the current number of lightsticks remaining on your HUD.
