This is the summary field. I have to always fill this out with at least 50 characters for some stupid reason even though I'm posting the info in the "Content" area. ModDB sorta sucks sometimes.

*Edit* Compatibility patch for Absolute Nature 3: Depositfiles.com

First of all, I apologize for the mod getting off to a rough start and needing a patch right away.

Now, I'm hearing complaints about iron sights for both 16:9 and 4:3 users and I would like to work on finalizing them all so people are happy campers. I will do this as soon as I have the time and energy for it (it's a tedious process, but for 16:9 Marslandaei made some corrections I haven't looked at yet that should be good).

Aside from that I will patch bugs as needed, see if I can add back grenade launcher use (it depends if Alundaio, author of AI Tweaks, ends up creating a port of it or not).
I will also provide general support for any bugs that crop up and I will provide a compatibility patch for Absolute Nature 3 once a patch for it is released.

After that I will be abandoning this project and starting a brand new one. To track this make sure you click "Track this member" in my profile as I will try and keep my profile updated with any news on the project. It is currently untitled but I will be leaving my focus on radiation and instead be focused on creating a very polished mod with new maps, the latest and greatest AI tweaks by Alundaio, many new quests, and the ability to join factions and do tasks for them. There's a lot more to it than that, but I'll get to specifics over time.

Thanks again for playing Swartz mod, I hope it was enjoyable. It was a lot of work :)

The weapon balance is fine, I'm not sure why it is you keep bitching about it.

If you don't like it it's easy to edit yourself, they're just ltx files. Open them in notepad and tweak to your liking.

An M24 and FAL, for example both shoot the 7.62x51mm round. That means they are roughly just as powerful, the only difference being the marginal effect of a longer/shorter barrel.

Just because one a "sniper" rifle and the other a battle rifle doesn't mean one should be about twice as powerful. That's just not how things work.

Also next time someone posts constructive criticism or a legitimate question, you can try to be polite about the matter. It makes people take you more seriously.

I'm well aware of how weapons work, the weapon damages are different for game balance purposes. I've shot many a gun, I'm not aiming for realistic weapons in this mod.

As I said if you don't like it edit it yourself.

As for not being polite I don't consider it polite to say things like "Weapon balance is dumb" and "Do you even know how weapons work?".

You've been a **** which is why you're being treated like one.

If you don't see how realism and balance can work together then I'll cease this argument because that would not get either of us anywhere.

It's a game. If it was balanced completely realistically you'd be fine using a ******* Fort-12 until halfway through Yanov and you'd probably die of infection every time a pack of wild dogs got a few bites in. I really hope you never intend to create games if you find that fun.

There's a nice application for adjusting iron sights made by a Russian developer, curse me for not remembering the name. I just used it not too long ago to fix the new weapons in MISERY. I think the link is on the MISERY mod page's forums under some Iron Sight complaint thread or something.
