Stargate - Empire at War: Pegasus Chronicles is a total conversion for the fantastic game Star Wars - Empire at War: Forces of corruption. This total conversion will replace every single Star Wars asset of the original game with Stargate assets. This includes units, buildings, icons, sounds, videos and so much more. Pegasus Chronicles offers 3 playable races, the Ta'uri (alliance between Earth and the Asgard), Anubis (a mighty systemlord) and the Wraith. Beside these 3 playable races, you will meet many non-playable ones like the Replicators, the Asurans, the systemlord alliance, the Aschen, the Ori and many more. Each faction will have several space and land units, well known from the series or completely new ones. Contrary to our first full version for the normal Empire at War, the next release will offer finished GC maps, in which you can play through the known Stargate storylines and experience a lot of never seen missions and adventures.

Report RSS The Goauld ground forces

This news shows the complete Goauld ground army. Every unit has a picture and a small description.

Posted by on

This is a summary of all Goauld ground forces. As you can see, some are totally new, some are just remade, some are reskins of EaW units. Have fun with this!

JAFFA

Img219.imageshack.us

The Jaffa are the the main element of the Goauld army. You can recruite plenty of them and they are very cheap, but they are not really powerful.

Jaffa Prime

Img217.imageshack.us

The Jaffa prime is a very skilled and old Jaffa. He costs a bit more than normal Jaffa and can not be recruited very often, but with him in an army Jaffa will fight much better at his side.

Elite-Jaffa

Img162.imageshack.us

Elite Jaffa are the most powerful "normal" Goauld infantry. They cost a lot more than normal Jaffa but are trained very well! Because of this special training their number is restricted.

Probe

Img46.imageshack.us

The probe combines both, a reconnaissance and battle unit. It is armed with small staff weapons and a shield, so it can stand Tauri infantry. It can be used to spy out Tauri planets or to fight the Tauri directly. They are not really cheap, but with their ability to explore foreign planets you should have it anyway.

Death glider

Img222.imageshack.us

The death gliders are the allrounder of the Goauld. Able to fight the Tauri airforce and to beat off the attack of Tauri soldiers it should be in every ground army. They are cheap and can be recruited in vast numbers.

Battle probe

Img129.imageshack.us

The battle probe was built because the Tauri started to use armed MALPs and heavy stationary defenses. It is armed with a powerful shield, 2 big staff weapons and even a ground-to-air weapon. They are mainly designed to attack towers but are also able to fight against air units. It is expensive, but with it in your army you can be sure that the Tauri will have big problem.^^

Al'kesh

Img233.imageshack.us

Alkesh are the most powerful Goauld air units. With its weapon turret it is able to fight against every ground unit and with its bombs it can destoy all possible buildings very fast. It is expensive, but because of its extreme firepower you should have it in every ground army.

Kull warriors

Img225.imageshack.us

This invention of Anubis is the most powerfull Goauld ground unit. It has a damage reducing armor and powerful, very fast firing staff weapons. It is very expensive, but it can stand almost a complete Tauri army. Their number is restricted but even with only one in your army the Tauri must have a very good ground defense to defeat it.

And now some facts concerning the new version, just for fun^^:
- more than 200 models(including ships, ground forces, buildings, satellites, missiles/bombs, death clones, etc.)
- 500 new sounds(including speech, effects, music etc.)
- more than 150 new maps(ground and space, including unique ones like Atlantis)
- more than 100 new effects(weapons, shields, etc.)
- countless code lines^^
- packed currently about 450MB, unpacked more than 1,2GB

Well, i hope this was a bit funny and informative.
Playing these ground units is already a lot of fun!

Stay tuned for more about other stuff^^.

Kull warrior i know this may seem very dum but how powerful are they and wiil they be able to stand up to the likes of one of the gatling gun things(anti infantary turret)Also will he be able to take on aircraft because air usually owns the ground units

1 more thing all hese new maps like atlantis earth and dakara will they all be playable in skirmish or just in campagin also while on the subject of dakara and atlantiswill they have there special features as in the city and the superweapon asviewable anyway.

You really make me crazy!^^

But one answer, the special maps are only in GC and not in Skirmish.

And now simply wait for the release please, you have really asked enough questions...^^ I believe it is really annoying to know everything already before the release!

i just have to say that i think Anubis has been spoiling the Kull warriors... i mean look at them, he's been feeding them too much

It looks like that because it is the dark trooper, only reskinned. I think i have explained more than enough during the last few weeks why we won't make new infantry models for the ground anymore...

I do a lot of modding for other teams and there is nothing worse than putting your heart into something (for free and for the love of it) to have what are essentially nit-picks taken up with your work.

I am a massive fan of the series and I think the next update looks like it will really be something special, at the end of the day - who seriously zooms all the way in to what is such a tiny model in the middle of a battle???!

I've been playing 0.8 religiously for a long time now - quite frankly I'm excited :)
