Purty.... Any chance Warlords could get the Arquitens to replace the Carrack?

I don't know about the Arquitens, but I have considered replacing the Carrack.

I like the Raider for the Warlords because it has absolutely no official history, just stats. The Arquitens and Carrack are both Clone Wars designs, so there's no reason the Empire couldn't have Arquitens too. But with the Raider we don't know when it was made. It could well be a post-Endor design, or one that just wasn't widely produced until the Warlords started making it.

Hmmm I assume the Arquitens is far more efficient than the Carrack since I believe it's younger than the Carrack. Though true the Raider is like a blank sheet in terms of lore. But yes the Empire and Warlords could possibly have it since in the new canon the Arquitens is named the Imperial Light Cruiser.

Yes it says it was put into production at 6 BBY so 6 years before Deathstar's destruction.

Yeah I wasn't sure on that point. Oh well, I think in the previous screenshot I said that it wasn't "widely produced" until after Endor so I left myself a back door. :p And since it doesn't show up in any stories or anything, for all we know that's true.

I don't see any enter service date on either of the. However the earliest battle mentioned for the Carrack is the Battle of Coruscant though in 19 BBY, while the Arquitens is 21 ABY at Saleucami. While I'd agree the Carrack looks like an older design, we don't technically know that, and the evidence might even slightly suggest the opposite. :p

The Carrack was deigned originally serve along side the Dreadnaught fleet the Republic had so I would say it's early Clone Wars they were developed while Arquitens was seen more during he Venator's main fleet use.

Though the Imperial Light Cruiser variant is apparently a variant rather than just a paint stripped Arquitens which saw major use during the Empire's young years when stripped Venators were the main ships still.

Raider is pre-Yavin design, but psot-Clone Wars. It was designed by the Empire to protect its holdigns in the Outer Rim.

Yeah, the model does look a lot nicer now with the new bridge and running lights.

Description

First of all, yes there is a new version, Alpha 3.2, for Sins 1.84 that is nearly done and will be released soon. Expect a news article with the details. :-)

Second, I wasn't quite happy with how the Raider turned out in my previous update, so I did some tweaks I think are worth sharing. This model was made by a prolific Sins modeler called Warb_Null, so first of all, big props to him. It is an almost perfect 3D reproduction of the ship model you get if you bought it in the X-wing 3D Miniatures game. However, as a video game, Sins can support some details a physical model can't, so I added some of these things in to make this ship shine in the Sins engine.

First of all, lights were added to the side of the hull. I tried to make them look as close as possible to the ships' official artwork, since lighting obviously doesn't show very well on a plastic model.

Second, for some silly reason this ship only had black slits for a bridge, even in the official artwork. That was boring, so I gave it some actual windows.

Finally, all the retractable turrets now face forward and use fire linked custom laser particles. Side coverage is provide by a few unmodeled laser points. Somewhat unique, the Raider is the only antifighter unit that cannot fire backward. Instead, its six forward turrets can engage two targets at once. So it can still engage four targets simultaneously once like most ships of its type, but it doesn't have the full 360 degree fire ability of other antifighter ships.
