Star Wars: Interregnum is an upcoming mod for Sins of a Solar Empire: Rebellion that builds off of the highly successful Enhanced 4X Mod. Fleeing the unknown terror that is chasing the Vasari, the factions of Sins of a Solar Empire stumble on a temporary wormhole that takes them to a galaxy far, far away. The sudden arrival of armadas with trillions of refugees and thousands of warships between the events of Episodes 5 & 6 forever alters the Star Wars universe and plunges the galaxy into an unprecedented period of chaos and violence. Begun, a new conflict has.

Report RSS Introducing the E4X/Interregnum Mod Manager

A new web based tool will allow you to configure minimods without needing to worry about pesky details like mod order ever again.

Greetings mod players!

One of the best features of the Enhanced 4X Mod/Star Wars Interregnum "ecosystem" is its library of rich customization options. From Expanded Research to Resetting Titan levels to powerful colonizing raiders to compatibility with the Sins:Remastered graphics mod, there's all sorts of ways to play the game the way you want to play it. As we've added more options over the years however, configuring the minimods you want in the correct order has become more complicated than we would like...

The mod order for all of this is not exactly intuitive.

Thankfully, we have a solution!

On my spare time I went ahead and coded a new web Mod Manager tool that will generate the EnabledMods.txt file used by Sins for you. It walks you through the process of selecting your mods, places them in the correct mod order, and even alerts you if there are any incompatibilities in your selections. You can see the tool build the EnabledMods.txt file in real time, and once you're done you can copy it directly to your clipboard or download the EnabledMods.txt file itself.

Mod Manager in Action

The great part about the Mod Manager is that as a web application, there's no need to install anything to use it! Any modern browser will run it just fine. Due to browser security restrictions, sadly the one thing we could not do with the Mod Manager is save the file to your mod folder for you. However, if you're already used to installing and switching out Sins mods, this tool should be a breeze to use. And if you're not, it links to the relevant steam guides to get you on the right path.

The Mod Manager is already live and ready to use, so if you were thinking of trying out some new minimods for your next game of Sins, now is the perfect time.

Happy Gaming!

Question: Wonder if there's similar to this somewhere in Moddb ? The one that can be used with all mods ? I'd love to switch this smoothly between ST: Armada III, SW Interregum & hopefully in near future with SG-1: Invasion if it comes b from the the Underground. Hope it's not dead & if is then gotta share it around & try to find new Devs for it.

That reminds me of semi good news about possible return of SG into our screens. Hope not via Syfy channel, but in Amazon Prime's library or HBO Max. Good weekend o/ Kindly: Fedaygin

ZombiesRus of Sins of the Fallen/Fall of Kobol took a stab at creating such a tool with his mod manager. It's a desktop application however, so I'm not sure how well it comes with the mod names changing over the years (E.g. Interregnum is now in "Beta 1"). But perhaps he put it an option to change the mod folder names.

Thanks for assist o/ I remembered this linked Mod Manager day after asked & forgot / couldn't update it on time. Sorry about that. Shame as this Mod Manager lacks some goodies like "Sins Remastered" & also at least one other great Mod isn't included :( There's still space left on that Manager's window so they could be added & hjeh why not even have the 'scroll down & up' feature.

I'll be using your Mod Manager when logging into SW: Interregnum & that one ^^ when use Star Trek or Stargate Races Mod with Sins Remastered. Good week o/ #Manager #StarWars #StarTrek #Stargate
