Easily the most iconic fighter of the Rebels and then the New Republic, the X-Wing was originally designed for the Galactic Empire before the entire engineering team joined the Alliance.

Stupid traitors having no backbone
I of course understand traitors mean rebels, but what do you mean by not having a backbone? Is there something about X-wing i am not aware of?
I think he means the engineering team didn't have the guts to stick with the Empire.
The cross things in the engines, aren't there suppose to only be 3 not four in each?
You're right, there are only supposed to be 3 unless this is supposed to represent a later variant of the T-65.
