Day 3 of the New Republic fighter extravaganza. Click "View original" to embiggen.
After the introduction of the X-Wing to Alliance fleets, the Y-Wing took on more of a role as a dedicated assault bomber. However, even in this role it was slowly supplanted by newer craft such as the B-Wing and the K-Wing. By the time of Grand Admiral Thrawn's offensive, it was mainly relegated to planetary defense.
