ive never played sins but the key to fighters in any game is to use them in conjunction with something to shield them from anti fighter weapons ex. in TR use star destroyers to kill corvetts then bring in the fighters

really the only thing that can kill fighters/bombers in sins are the flak frigates of each race, a capital ship special ability, or other fighters/bombers. I dont remember if corvettes do or not, I still play diplomacy more than rebellion. hope we get to see some hand stuff, they are my favorite faction

Sins is a lot more specialised in ship roles, with hard-classes anti-fighter/anti-ship/etc than Star Wars. Ascendancy balancing should be pretty close to what ICW was.

Hand stuff will be coming soon. Ironically the Hand is the farthest ahead specifically because of the reasons that held them behind in EaW.

(buried)

I have played soase and the fighter.....they are useless. In fact all the space combat is probably worse than at star wars empire at war. Of course it is a matter of opinion, probably other people see it different.

You obviously havent played it enough. They are very good at taking out siege frigates and LRM frigates. Not to mention that they are incredibly proficient at removing the threat of bomber spam.

I wouldn't imagine the Remnant to be the Advent. Their style seems more T.E.C

The factions are all being remade from the ground up, so it doesn't really matter anyways. All the tech and whatnot is gone, but all 3 factions currently use Advent base assets for any necessary infrastructure which we haven't replaced yet (shipyards, etc) in order to test things. We've already got the new construction ship in.

Description

An ingame screenshot of the TIE Fighter for the Imperial Remnant, the fourth unit ingame but the first to be shown.

As you can see, there are still a lot of Sins assets ingame at the moment, however these will all be removed as we implement our own infrastructure.
