Come to think of it, something that always bothered me about the Romulans in DS9, was how the entire Romulan fleet consisted of only one class/type of ship. Surely a race as intelligent and cunning as the Romulans would understand the need to have other ship types and classes to support one-another in and out of wartime situations.

(Though yes, I guess they did have shuttles, but come on!)

I think it came down to time constraints and budget priorities. Romulan ships were seen comparatively rarely. Ultimately I guess we can assume that there were various types of ships in the Romulan fleet, but the D'deridex-class warbird served as the fleet's backbone.

For sure, the models you integrated in STA3 are nice ones. Especially the valdore-class and its variation (I don't remember the name... mogai ? tavara ?)

PBR is being applied to our Ages of the Federation mod.

I see. You can already mix it with Remastered mod. Here I am using:
"STA3_FINAL_EDITION" as mod 1
"SinsRemastered-v0.94b" as mod 2
and slight reshade of my Velovar preset

Tinyurl.com

Of course it will look a lot better with proper pbr models. GL!

Except these two mods, while both great, are not designed to work together in any capacity and we can't predict any issues that may pop up as a result.

If you want to do it then that of course is your choice, but it's not an idea that we as a team support or encourage.

Description

As the Romulan Star Empire announces its entry into the Dominion War, the Imperial Navy decimates Dominion defenders at Ogyas III.

To a degree, most Federation historians agree that the Dominion War was inevitable, especially after the Cardassian Union elected to ally with and allow a Dominion foothold within the Alpha Quadrant. There is no debate, however, on what marked the point of no return. War became increasingly likely as the Dominion's position in the Quadrant grew stronger, and when the Romulan Star Empire declared its neutrality in late-2373, refusing to stand with the Federation and the Klingon Empire against Dominion aggression, war became not only certain, but imminent.

Though the inherent isolationism and xenophobia of the Romulan government had certainly played its part in the decision to stay out of the conflict, unsealed records and insights gleaned from Romulan diplomatic contacts indicate that the decision may have been one of simple self-preservation above all. Records show that the Tal Shiar, the Imperial Navy and the Imperial Senate had all conducted their own fervid analyses of the situation, and remained unconvinced that even the combined strength of the Federation's Starfleet, the Klingon Defence Force and the Imperial Navy would be enough to defeat or even withstand a Dominion onslaught.
