Star Trek: Armada III begins with the first stirrings of the Dominion War and allows players to take command of five unique factions, the United Federation of Planets, the Klingon Empire, the Romulan Star Empire, the Cardassian Union/Dominion Alliance, and the Borg Collective. Explore strange new worlds, seek out new life and new civilizations, and boldly go where no one has gone before.
Enjoy ;)
Voyager caught by a Borg Cube's tractor beam. Gorgeous. Even though I do know that it isn't exactly Voyager, but any Intrepid-class ship caught.
Reminds you of the species 8472 chase scene
Yes, you have a point.
Awesome wallpaper, it is similar to Scorpion part 2. One thing I never understood about voyager was how it was able to go toe to toe with the Borg? As voyager was not the heaviest armed vessel, though the Borg did seem to get weaker and weaker over years.
I think its not that the Borg became weaker but rather that Federation tech and armaments became more advanced.
It's because the voyager series sucked as hell
Half the episode made no sense not with real life thinking ore Star Trek
Sometimes the first directive is everything and in the next they don't give a ****
You can't overcome the Borg
They will learn to adapt and then your advanced tec will come obsolete
Hey! Some of us liked Voyager.I thought it was pretty cool even if some of the episodes were not very good.
Besides, the Borg had to be nerfed no matter what. The writers realized that they made a force of nature. So they weakened their ability to adapt and be creative. Or else starfleet would not exist.
It would be like in "Parallels" (TNG Episode) where there was an Alternate Riker that explained that Borg had destroyed Starfleet and the survivors were scattered. Pretty damn good episode too.
Don't get me wrong i enjoyed voyager from series 2, and I know they brought the Borg in to replace the kazon as they where such a huge flop. I just think they made the mistake of making the regular villians and by doing that they had the nerf them, mind you they totally got nerfed by enterprise. If they had appeared less, then they could of kept them as a force of nature. I still think species 8472 was a huge mistake.
Species 8472 was actually quite Interesting. It was one the only aliens in the Star Trek Universe that made you go, "HOLY COW, WHAT IN GODS NAME IS THAT THING?!"
But yeah, The Borg could have appeared less. They sort of took a break from the early Borg battles when they brought the Hirogen into the mix though.
I liked the Hirogen, powerful hunters seeing almost everything as prey. They were a really good designed race, like the Jem'hadar(sp). Some of the cast and writters have actually said they over used the borg and diminshed them. They should of contiuned to develop the Hirogen i think.
Agreed. The Hologram episode they (Sort of) brought them back in was a pretty nice touch however. I mean, It's inhuman, but you realize that it makes complete sense to the Hirogen.
