Your textures are some of the best I have seen for this game. I really hope this mod works out.

the textures here are more detailed than the ones used in the movies, I'm led to believe.

The comment was meant as a joke/compliment. If you read my other comments, you know I very much appreciate the work that is being put into the mod. The textures are as good if not better than the movies/tv shows imo.

I've always loved the look of the Akira class, such a beautiful ship, and you sir, have done it justice :)

great texture but doesn't it look a bit like plastic instead of metal? other than that it is very good, better in fact than the star trek online model.

The Akira class is my favourite ship, such a beautiful design and so powerful. This model and texture looks great except the edge where the deflector dish section connects to the main saucer section, that connecting edge I feel should be softened, it looks more like it's pasted onto the bottom rather than a flowing part of the ship.
The front part around the deflector dish looks great though. Those hard lines reaching out to the front of the saucer section and the edge loop going around the deflector dish make it look mean.
Also not sure if it's the angle but the red line and the windows look a bit distorted, as if the UVs aren't lined up quite right. Aside from those it looks amazing, keep up the good work!

actualy when i worked on the model i used the official CGI orthographic views, the secondary hull is supposed to be like that, as for the red are right about those, they are a bit distorted, but its the best way to be done.

I spoke in future tense because the mod is still in development, thus it WILL be, not IS.

Quick question: The indention next to the deflector phalanx goes into the hull on the left and protrudes outward on the right side. Is that intentional or did this happen when mirroring the texture?

Edit: after looking at the ship again, this seems to be the case for the armor on the whole ship, not only the deflector.

That's a damn good point, and one I hadn't noticed before. We think it's something to do with the game as it wasn't doing that in 3ds, and the textures aren't mirrored. On the upside, it looks pretty funky, so if we don't find a fix for it, we won't be too upset.
